
I really liked the nice, relaxing environment at this nail salonāit was very welcoming. When I called at 4:54 pm, the friendly lady on the phone told me the wait would be about 30 minutes, which was no problem as i was going to be a walk in. I walked in at 5:03 pm and signed in. However, I wasnāt actually seated until closer to 6:23 pm, and I was assigned to a technician, Jackie, who was absolutely the sweetest! The only issue was that I wasnāt informed about her being NEW NEW, so the nail process took much longer than I expected (I wanted short/minimal design) āI thought Iād be done by 7:30 pm but didnāt leave until 8:38 pm. Also, I chose a purple color (as shown), but ended up with a bright Barbie-pink shade instead. After the first coat, I mentioned the color was wrong, and Jackie said the second coat would fix it, but unfortunately, it didnāt (you can see in the photo).
On top of that, my nails came out in different shapes. I had asked for a squoval shape, but they looked more like coffin nails. Jackie did notice and tried to fix it, and even offered to stay late to correct everything, but I was tired and just wanted to go home. I scheduled a follow-up appointment the next day at 5:15 pm to fix the color.
The day of my follow up appt, I got out of work at 4:10 pm and was going to be about 5 minutes late, so I called ahead to notify them but couldnāt reach anyone. I left a voicemail requesting a call back to confirm if the slight delay was okay or if we needed to reschedule, but I never heard back.
In the end, I did not get to go back to fix the nails, and I was charged $46. My nails fell off about 5 days later with ease and without pain. While the atmosphere and Jackieās kindness were great, the overall service experience wasnāt what I hoped for. But the work I got done did not shine through. To start off, I was expecting a Russian manicure with my selected service, and I did not receive that at all. I donāt even think my cuticles were even removed because right after I left, I could definitely still see all of them. Secondly, I was way overcharged. I wasnāt expecting $30 obviously because this wasnāt my first rodeo, but they were āsupposedlyā having a sale and I was definitely charged full price on both services (mani & pedi). Finally, my nails did not come out like the inspo picture I showed, the colors were all off and the shape wasnāt right, and I mentioned this several times throughout the appointment. I wish I couldāve seen what I was getting charged, but all I got was a shady receipt that didnāt give me any kind of description. I had gone for me and my daughter as walk-ins and was not our first time, had gone back to this place because they did a great work bur after the second time I went and they over book them self as I was told I would be next and after their appointments came in I was told I had to wait till they were done with their appointments clients after I waited for the nail tech that my daughter was with. The person that needs to get communication training is Dante. He is the one that didn't communicate to the other nail tech that she had to take care of the appointment clients and then me. The nail tech girl did apologize to me but Dante is a very rude and had an attitude as he didn't care about me as a client.
He said to another client that it would be best to schedule an appointment to avoid waiting. We asked if we could make the appointment that same day and he said yes, not realizing the time he looked at the screen and said, Oh hold on I have to ask my boss. Came back to, no we can't for today anymore.
