La Reynera Bakery Weslaco — Restaurant in Weslaco

Ok so we ordered my sister in laws wedding cake back in the end of 2019, it was going to be for June 6, 2020. (1) We paid it off February 17, 2020 and ADDED the charge of $25 so they could deliver it to the venue. (2)Called a few weeks later to change the date because of covid, it would now be delivered October 3, 2020. (3)Called them yet again on July 24th 2020 to change the date for October 2, 2021. (4)Again because for covid restrictions we had to change venues, so on August 19th 2021 my husband went to speak with them in person to make sure they got the correct venue and to make sure it was still set to be delivered on that day. NOW a week an a half before the wedding they have the audacity to tell us they will no longer be delivering it because of covid restrictions, which I fully understand; what I DON'T understand is why they NEVER bothered to tell us they weren't planning on delivering it anymore (given these 4 opportunities) with that being the case, were they just planning to keep our $25 delivery fee?! Even with all these explanations and proof they refused to deliver our cake, luckily we found another Bakery. Sadly we will no longer be doing business with them anymore..and at that they also didn't want to refund me my money, but I fought tooth and nail for the refund. $375 may not seem like alot to some, but thats a payment that's going into the other Bakery in which we'll be getting a nicer cake from with...

I walked in at 8:30pm. Outside sign and google search indicate that the bakery closes at 9pm. As soon as I walked in, I was YELLED at that apparently the bakery has closed in these exact words: “YA ESTAMOS CERRADOS”. I didn’t even get an apology not even at the very least a greeting. I understand that sometimes stores run out of food so they must close early. However, the shelves were filled and I mean overfilling with bread. Which means this bread will sit there overnight and get old. So if you’re planning on buying bread from this bakery the morning of 7/17/21, DONT. Overall very bad experience. My husband went to get a coffee and bread to this location, it was past 2:00 pm so he qsked if they could make a fresh coffee for him, which just means they would need to put coffe and water in the little coffee maker at the front. Nothing fancy. Nevertheless, the lady up front said "I can't, I have too much work to do" . Considering the short time it would have taken for hwr to make fresh coffee, this really disappointed us about this spot we used to love. In the future, I hope they hire people who really like to serve...
