UPDATE: The manager of this location (James) reached out to me and worked to resolve the issue very quickly. I was back in the salon a few days later (per my availability) with a different tech - Kimly. Kimly is a master technician, which apparently makes all the difference because I left very much satisfied with the manicure I received. James recommended that I get a "pink and white" acrylic manicure, which uses a shaping tool to achieve a perfect, uniform crescent shape on every nail. I'd never heard of this before, and likely would have opted to select this service initially if it had been previously suggested. I am very grateful that the management of this location was able to maintain a high level of professionality in addressing and resolving this matter so quickly. This shows great customer service and care for their clients. --------------------------------------------- 1/6/23 I came to this location to get my nails done because my preferred ambiance location in Montgomery is temporarily closed for repairs. I've had great experiences at ambience salons in the past, so I felt confident in coming here to get my nails done. I was incredibly disappointed with my visit at this location. My nail tech, Nhi, was quick and sloppy and had flung nail pieces all over my clothes and in my hair by the time she was finished taking my old s&s set off. She was rough and kept stabbing and scratching me with her long nails. When she was trimming my cuticles she cut me on three different fingers one of which is still bleeding as I write this review. When asked about the length I wanted my nails to be, I told her that I wanted medium short length nails and had to keep asking her to trim them down as she started them off very long. When she was finished trimming them, I didn't notice at first, but they are all different lengths, which is particularly noticeable given that I got French tips. The s&s French tips method is usually dipping the nails into a special container to achieve that clean crescent shape on the tip of the nail. She did this in such a way that she was dumping the powder onto my nails and all over the table and none of my nails are crisp, clean, or uniform as a result. She kept layering on more and more powder in this way and didn't file it down evenly so they are chunky/lumpy and uneven. She never once apologized for cutting me, and the only time she spoke was to a co-worker in a conversation in which they appeared to be trying to decide how much to charge me. I wound up paying $86 to sit in silence for an hour and a half while I was poked, scratched, and cut. I left her $5 as a tip because I've never once just not tipped someone after receiving a service, but I honestly don't feel great about leaving even that. I have worked in service industries at multiple points throughout my life, and so always try to be patient and polite with service industry workers. I am a very easy going person, and generally not hard to please. If she had ever once apologized for cutting me, or taken more care and time to ensure the quality of my manicure, I would not be as upset as I am. As it is, I will likely not be returning to this location again. I will bide my time until the Montgomery ambiance location reopens.

**edit to response** It would have been nice for the lady at the front to let me know how much it would be, as she knew exactly what I was getting. I even said "$65 sure" then when my husband called he was told a $10 tip was added. I don't understand how the communication is so difficult. I say what I want and you give me a price. If I have questions about my charge, I expect to be told this and not something else. Very frustrating. Also, the manicure does NOT include a hand massage, so you shouldn't have anyone saying it does. It's only putting lotion on your hand. Very misleading. To charge $10 for that is crazy. Went on mother's day. Husband called and was told $45. Once I arrived I was told $55, and $65 if I want a manicure. I said "I'd do the manicure and the dip powder.i said " for $65, that's fine" when she took my card and charged me I asked how to leave a tip when she brought me the receipt. She said only cash or venmo. I was going to have my husband venmo a tip. Once I got to the car, I looked at the receipt a little better, and noticed it was $72.42. my husband called bc he made the appointment and was emailed a different Price than I was told, and the receipt was more than we both were told...I was confused.rhe lady told him they added a $10 tip! How was i ot told they were adding a tip and still told I could tip cash, or venmo??? How does $45, turn into $55, then I added $10 for a manicure so $65..then $65 turned into $72.42 and told a $10 top was added on to the $65? None of this makes sense. I'm still confused the math doesn't math. Not to mention $10 for lotion ribbed on your hands when told a hand massage, and a hot towel wrapped my hands for 5 seconds as she ran my card that was cold in seconds. That's a joke! Do not add $10 for the massage and don't be surprised if you pay more than they email you, or tell you at the counter. I won't be back.

I went to get my nails done last minute. I was welcomed about 10 minutes after being there which was no issue. We talked and laughed, everything went great. Had to tell her to fix a couple issues such as crookedness but I wasn’t complaining. I have been getting SNS dip on my real nails for years & I have never had this issue where the dip chips off my nails? I have an office job and I’m not banging my hands around & rarely cause any stress to my nails. Really sad that this happened to not 1 but 2 nails on one hand. Won’t be returning, experience was good but quality not really… I’ll stick with my regular nail salon. I paid $55 for nails that didn’t even last a couple days… Updating: I went back to the salon per my availability & had James specifically. He kept asking what day & name which I kept explaining over and over again. It look me about 10 minutes to get to the chair but I get needing the proof although they finally found my name and kept saying it’s been two weeks even though I left my review a few days after my first appointment. My new nails are the blue ones pictured & they are much better than what I got from Nhi. She was so nice once I created convo with her but it didn’t seem like she planned to speak to me at my first visit. I think something needs to be said to the employee that did my nails the first time around since I have found other complaints on her. James was fine and the work is decent. I will be going back to qt nails in west Chester, my nails always appear smooth and perfect. Thanks for trying to better my experience but some relationships aren’t meant to be 🙂
