From a seller stand point this event is pretty nice if you have quality product to sell as a reseller, buyers come looking for specific home goods, and beautiful $900 vintage antique jewelry.
I think they should advertise the type of customer that comes to these events. I don’t recommend for fashion clothing/accessory vendors. I was very excited to do the 2-day event; I’m use to cash flow business events for me personally.
I was able to at least make what I paid for to attend, which was only $300 for a 2-day event, normally I make a generous amount when selling as a designer.
However, the director for such a highly recognized event wasn't friendly at all, they warned outside vendors last minute about thunder storms so all the vendors who paid to stay till 5pm had to leave, it was absolutely no accommodations for those people. Vendors got drenched and I got told "if your trying to leave earlier than 5pm, your on your own by the director, as In I had 3 tables that I had to take to my car, when that should’ve been provided.
Amazing sellers but horrible customer service...
Read moreI enjoy going almost every month to see the cool items people are selling throughout the summer(there is an outdoor market in the summer with more items than the clothes). Notice how I say look because many of the vendors have very high priced items which they don't mind transporting back and forth on a monthly basis. This is nothing like the shows you see on TV where people are wheeling and dealing for furniture.
I understand people are trying to make money but this is a glorified flea market and most of the items have been found or salvaged. As a seller I would want to get rid of my products so I can buy new stuff to sell but you will see many of the same items throughout the summer without the prices budging.
As a man I do like to go through the clothing vendors and buy some cuff links or tie bars. You can find good deals on stuff like that which is really fun.
Admission is a little high at $10 but keep your eye out on Gilt City or other flash shopping sites for entrance as...
