SAUSAGE, BACON and BEER!! Three of my favorite words!! Kaiser Tiger has some of our Country's best bacon all on one board! I am still thinking about their Jowl bacon! We also tried the Beer and Bacon sausage, Bacon, pork, and Lagunitas Brewing Co IPA sausage, wrapped in Applewood bacon, topped with pickled red onions and and a house made beer mustard. Amazing! Pat Berger the owner turned me onto Pilsner Urquell, the perfect beer to go with the food we were eating. Kaiser does their fries in the Belgium style, double fried and a little thicker cut. All of their sauces to dip the fries in are all made in-house. The fries and the sauces are lights out! We finished with the Schnitzel Sandwich Pork Schnitzel topped with house made pickles( The owner's Grandma's recipe), pickled red onion, and a fried egg on a pretzel bun with a side of curry ketchup. Delicious! Kaiser also has Chicago's largest beer garden. Between hangin with Pat, the food, the beer and the beer garden I did not want to leave! Get some!! Great curling experience. The curling instructor was quite helpful, teaching us all the techniques and "curling" actually means (aiming, shooting the put straight but slightly spinning it to "curl" into the "button") Organized an office party here for the holidays 15 of us - ended up being $200 pp which is interesting including the curling which was 2 lanes for 2 hours at $275 per lane There were many food spread options . I just got the appetizer spread , selecting : 1. Bruschetta (best one out of all, seasoned really with balsamic, basil + salt & pepper + ripe tomatoes on crispy & light toast) 2. Hummus & pita with veggies 3. Bacon bomb - fried bacon wrapped sausage 4. Sausage & cheese with roasted peppers 5. Warm bavarian pretzel 6. Fries All in all a great experience, just a bit further out in west loop vs everything else

We saw that this place has bacon, sausage, and cheese and we decided that was the place for us. We went a few hours before a Lady Gaga show at the United Center and saw that they do free shuttle service to the United Center for concerts and Blackhawks and Bulls games. The shuttle service started at 6 p.m. and we weren't there long enough, but what a service for an establishment with craft beers to have. Even if you don't need the service it's very walkable to the United Center, btw.

We started out on the back patio. Great atmosphere and very cozy. We did end up going inside to the bar due to mosquitoes always thinking I'm delicious.

I got the Beer & Bacon sausage which was absolutely delicious. Huge chunks of bacon, house made beer mustard, and crisp red onions topping the sausage. I'm not usually a mustard fan but the beer cheese mustard was delicious and I love beer cheese. Definitely hid the mustard flavor, or at least neutralized it. The crispy red onions added the perfect amount of crunch, making each bite satisfying.

My husband got the crispy mac and cheese bites, which comes with chili and beer cheese. The chili sort of reminded me of Cincinnati-style chili, which I'm not a fan of (sorry!) but the cheese bites with that delicious beer cheese really hit the spot. The bites were the perfect crisp level.

We got the Kaiser Tiger/Dovetail Hefewizen which was easy to drink and amazing on a warm day after walking around. I then switched to the Kaiser Tiger/Dovetail Pils which was perfectly smooth and dry, again perfect on a toasty day.

Now for my favorite part of the experience: DAN! When we arrived hardly anyone was there (they'd just opened and it was a Wednesday afternoon) and Dan was the bartender/server. He was so nice and answered my questions about the patio cat aptly named Bacon (cute!). When we went to the bar he was so nice and personable. We told him we were from the Nashville area and we talked about the cesspool that is Broadway, hockey, indie movie theaters in Tennessee and Chicago, and movies (he has great taste). He was so cool and it really heightened our experience at this already cool place. Definitely check Kaiser Tiger out and if Dan is there and has time, have a...

If I don’t sit down and call out what Alex Mackey did for me today, then honestly, I don’t even deserve to go to the event. That’s how impactful, helpful, and just flat-out incredible Alex was.

Let me set the stage: I was completely overwhelmed. Usually, the process of booking a venue involves going online, filling out forms, navigating menus, customizing options—it’s a whole thing. And to be perfectly candid, I wasn’t in a place where I could handle all that. I didn’t know what to do or where to start. But then Alex came into the picture, and everything changed.

She didn’t just help me—she rescued me.

Alex called me back from her personal phone number (who even does that these days?) and walked me through everything step by step. I’m talking room selection, menu choices, the app setup, alcohol details, credit card info—every single question, checkbox, and decision, she handled it with me. She even filled out the email form for me when I couldn’t.

And it gets better—technically, all of this needed to be finalized seven days ahead of time. I was past that window. Had Alex not stepped in, I was legitimately going to be in serious trouble at work. But she made it happen. She didn’t just save the day; she saved me. No exaggeration.

Throughout the whole process, she was patient, kind, funny, and incredibly accommodating. Not once did I feel like I was being rushed or judged. She treated me like a real person, not just another name in a booking queue. That kind of genuine care and professionalism is rare.

I told her outright, "I don’t know what to do," and she replied with action. She did everything. Thanks to Alex, not only is my event booked, but I genuinely feel confident and excited about it. And here’s the kicker: I chose this venue over another one entirely because of her. That’s the kind of impact she had.

If every customer service experience was like this, the world would be a better place. Alex Mackey is an absolute rockstar, a lifesaver, and exactly who I needed to speak to today.

Thank you, Alex. You made the impossible...

Incredibly disappointing employee conduct, and the drinks & dingy atmosphere don't make it any more worthwhile (this is coming from someone who loves dive bars)! Stopped in for a quick drink Saturday night with friends and it's clear few to none of the employees cared about service. Especially not the one who PHYSICALLY SHOVED my friend out of the way to get back to his barstool. He was an off-the-clock EMPLOYEE who was drunk and practically unruly.

As my friend stood innocently BEHIND the barstool while I tried to order us drinks, the guy came up and just pushed him out of the way, then proceeded to talk over my friend as he explained he wasn't trying to sit there, we were just ordering. The retort from this clown was "well I am..."

Once he realized that my friend was continuing to talk to him (way more patiently than I would have, let me tell you!!) he dismissively said not to worry about it. Of course we quickly understood that you can't reason with someone who is drunk, so we walked away.

Before we left (and long after the employee was no longer sitting at the bar), my friend tried to politely let the bartender know that he felt this encounter was uncalled for. Who should walk up but the same troublesome guy, vehemently demanding that he 'apologized' and my friend should let him buy a drink as a peace offering.

He grew more insistent, saying he was "extending an olive branch" and that was what you were supposed to do. Only the whole time he continued to talk over my friend, until the friend had to retreat yet again. We agreed there would be no solution from him continuing to argue with the drunk employee, even though he just wanted to be heard. In the end I was more frustrated that no one he worked with had the wherewithal or courage to stop him from talking and corral him in the opposite direction. My...
