Loft on Lake — Attraction in West Chicago Township

I cannot say enough good things about Loft On Lake. It was the first venue we saw, and was where we decided to have our special day.

The space itself is a beautiful bank slate. I wanted a rustic but modern wedding and Loft On Lake was everything we could want and more. It’s so beautiful on its own, you don’t need to do much, but at the same time it offers you the flexibility to make it into your dream wedding. Parking was easy for most as there’s an inexpensive lot right around the corner $10 for the whole night! McDonalds next store for a late night snack. And all the vibes of the city without the crowdedness of downtown. We got so many compliments from our guests on the space.

But the true shining star of Loft On Lake may not even be the space itself, but the Venue manager Jill! From the very beginning, Jill was welcoming and helpful with all of our questions. We loved her energy so much, we decided to hire her as our coordinator. She helped organize with our vendors, and I didn’t lift a finger the day of our wedding. Jill was on top of everything, and I felt I could truly enjoy my day to the fullest because of her. She even released our pup Benito (our ring bearer) down the aisle. I can’t recommend her or loft on lake enough! We are looking for every excuse to hopefully rent this space again some day. We are so grateful to Jill & LOL for helping bring our special day to life ❤️

Editing to add: one of my guests left a review noting parking as an issue. However I wanted to add that loft on lake provided a map of available parking areas, as well as the link to reserve parking at nearby lot (less than a 3 minute walk away) which we included in our wedding invitation details to our guests. No other guests had issues with parking. Given the location of loft on lake, I would say finding parking is easy when compared to other establishments. Most venues and restaurants in the west loop do not offer reserved parking lots. You can’t make everyone happy...

I am so excited to write this review because I have nothing but the highest praises for Cher, Steve, and Jessie at Loft on Lake. This family is truly incredible. When my husband and I set out to pick our venue I was nervous and stressed (this literally was the most overwhelming part of wedding planning to me). When we walked into Loft on Lake Cher greeted us and made us feel right at home, and that is what you get when you work with Loft on Lake. A family run business that makes sure to have everything you need right when you need it! She was able to answer every single question I fired off at her, she was able to talk to us about how other people had set up their weddings, and the entire time she did it with a smile. While working with a family owned and operated business was the selling point for us, Loft on Lake is also a stunning venue. They have a gorgeous sky light, beautiful wooden beams over head with adorable fairy lights strung between them, and exposed brick. This venue is a blank canvas that you can beautify any way you see fit! One of the coolest parts of working with Loft on Lake was getting to hear all the magnificent things the vendors we partnered with said about Cher, Steve, and Jessie. They all said how much they enjoyed partnering with them and how professional they are, and after a year of planning and working with them we too say the same. I cannot say enough great things about Loft on Lake! The venue itself is such a beautiful space for starters. It's conveniently located in a great neighborhood in the city, less than 5m from hotels in West Loop for your guests' ease. The skylight ceiling allows natural light to pour in during your ceremony and then later on, their in-house lighting gives the perfect ambiance once the reception gets underway. Their bridal suite tucked away in the corner is so nice to have on site throughout the day and their kitchen is every catering team's dream, which in turn makes food and bev service a breeze, which is important for your guests' experience at your wedding. Most importantly, it's a private/family owned venue, and you can immediately tell that they take amazing care of the space and each and every client. Jill is so welcoming, professional and on top of everything during the planning process; such a pleasure to work with! Again, cannot say enough fantastic things about LOL. It's truly a perfect venue if you're looking for a cool, intimate, urban space...
