Lovers Playground — Local services in West Chicago Township

I was there Saturday night around 11 PM and the man who was working there was very rude and the place reeked of weed. I wanted to take something out of a package and went to do so. I was the only person in the store and in view of the man. He stayed behind the counter and shouted at me from the counter and told me “You’re not supposed to take things out of the package.” I protested because every place I’ve been to has let me do it and another location of Lovers Playground I went to let me do it as well. He backpedaled and told me I had to bring it to the counter for him to open things for me. So when the time came when I wanted to take something out of the package again I brought it up to the counter, he pointed to signs to rudely tell me again about not opening items, I told him about other Lovers Playground locations that were more accommodating, he rudely told me different stores have different policies (so policies are location dependent), he opened the item, and the man would not let me touch the item with my hands. He wanted me to either provide my own gloves, which I didn’t have, or touch the item with a papertowel so I couldn’t even feel the item’s texture which I have never experienced before at any adult store. I am a person who is sensitive to textures and I won’t buy what I can’t feel with my hands and inner wrists. I even asked if I could use hand sanitizer before I touched the item and he told me no! So, I said “I guess I don’t need to buy from you,” and walked out of the store. I was at other Lovers Playground locations that are amazing but this man Saturday night lost a sale because of being rude and...

Don't shop here. I went in to grab a few things and whoever is currently working there watched me the ENTIRE time I was in there. When I looked at him he'd look away. I even walked to the back corner away from where he could stare but then he moved from the register to the front corner by the door, and again every time I looked up he'd look away. This happened so many times that I literally just stopped and stared at him. This didn't help at all he went right back to it seconds later... it made me so uncomfortable, I decided to just leave. No one wants to be watched in any store let alone one like this. I'm so peeved I couldn't even wait to get home to write about it I'm still sitting in my car. I will not be coming here again. I went in yesterday to buy what people refer to as poppers. I also took a stroll around and noticed a variety of products that captured my attention. Discretion was what I looked for when purchasing a dildo. The cashier was respectful and discreet. Saw other customers getting what they came in for and leaving with little to no words being said.
