I always try to use locally owned businesses first, and that has always paid off for me with Woodbury Appliance. First two times I used them were actually service calls. I wanted the opening side swapped on the fridge in my rental. Old unit, included with the rental, certainly no idea if they sold it to my landlord. Quick, responsive and very reasonable service fee. Next time, still in the rental, seal went out on a 15 year old upright freezer that was mine. Another smooth, professional and reasonably priced experience.
Flash forward a few years, owning our own home now, Fridge that came with the house died. Height of the pandemic (late July). Did you know there has been a major household appliance shortage? Lockdowns disrupting supply chains for manufacturers. Any model I was interested in (wasn't picky about brand or features, just size), Lowe's was "estimating" 4 - 6 weeks delivery, Home Depot didn't even offer a tentative delivery date. Called Woodbury Appliance, they were able to order and deliver my second choice in about 10 days. Same price as Lowe's, about $30 more than HD (who, remember, couldn't even give ANY delivery estimate). Friends of ours who ordered from Lowe's around the same time got their fridge about 10 weeks later!
One last "screw you" for 2020, that upright freezer died on 12/31 (It's actually OK, 20+ years old now, didn't owe me a dime). I didn't even check Lowe's or HD, just called Woodbury Appliance. Now, I got lucky with timing -- they had just gotten in a shipment of upright freezers that had been on order for months. Got a fantastic GE upright for a really good price (side note: nice that they're not gouging customers with all the shortages) in less than a week.
People there -- sales, service, delivery -- never anything but courteous and professional, I'm really shocked to hear a few people describe negative interaction. Service, price, white glove delivery and repair service are always just excellent. Woodbury Appliance has earned my business and will be my go-to for anything I need...
Read moreWhile the customer service has been fine, I’ve had nothing but problems with the knobs on the Maytag dryer that I purchased not even a year and a half ago. Apparently a manufacturer issue, they are so cheaply made. But the price sure wasn’t cheap! Very disappointing and disheartened, as I have to keep hearing my husband assume that it must be me being rough with it! After all, how can these cheaply made plastics knobs keep cracking inside so early??? We wash maybe a couple times a week and I simply turn the knob to the desired time. How hard can I be on it? Shame. Also, the clothes have to go through a whole cycle at least 2 or 3 times, as the clothes are never dried after the first cycle. Rather annoying since I set it on the highest temperature that you can get. Wastes a lot of time and energy. Not at all efficient!! Did I get a faulty, bad dryer?? I have called to explain my knob issue and the easy cracking situations and someone there ordered a new one and it had a longer plastic insert than before, which made me think that they had to upgrade because of previous situations. They also said they would call me when the replacement for the other smaller knob that cracked inside came in. Never did. Over $700 for not even a year and a half’s worth of use??? Unacceptable!! Now the male part of the insert where the knob goes in is stripped!! So can’t be easily fixed! All this from simply, lightly turning the knob each time I attempt to dry my clothes??? And now I have to go elsewhere to purchase another dryer—-one that works and is reliable!!! The quality leaves a LOT to be desired!!! I will not be purchasing...
Read moreWe have been buying from big box stores and everytime we needed service it was a huge hassle just getting the right person to talk with. Like going through the grapevine and just to be transferred again & again. The service after the sale? Well it was pitifull. We decided to Purchase our Twin Frigidaire Refrigerator and Freezer from Woodbury Appliance. When we first called the store we were in awe that a real person actually answered the phone and the person was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions and concerns. We purchased our Refrigerator/Freezer over the phone.Three days later Woodbury Appliance delivered and set everything up and we paid on delivery. We were very happy with the whole process. One month later the freezer wasn't cooling keeping temperature, we called Woodbury Appliance and they came out the same day and determined it was a manufacture issue. A new freezer was delivered a week later. I love that Woodbury Appliance services everything that they sell. Woodbury Appliance will price match or beat the competitors price. We will continue to buy from Woodbury Appliance. Our next purchase will be a Speed Queen Washer and Dryer and...
