Under staffed. 8 checkout lanes and usually 1 cashier to checkout (maybe 2). gets pretty absurd. it's clearly pisspoor management and greedy owners because the employees are nice (and clearly overworked). I've been here 5 times over the last 5 days (every day this week) and it's clear the owner does not understand how to staff a place like this. I'll be headed somewhere else to finish the new kitchen...
For example I came here today at 10:30 a.m. and waited half an hour to check out then I came back at 8 p.m. and waited another half hour to check out the same lady was working the checkout line and I don't think I saw but maybe a total of 5 people working there. Who in their right mind runs a major operation Like Home Depot with five employees.
I'm one of those people who refuses to use the self-checkout Lanes because I believe they're insulting insulting. If I'm going to spend my hard-earned money at your store I deserve a real person to talk to putting me in front of the machine is like a letter from the owner saying "you don't matter to me you're just another dime in the bucket you worthless sheep"
Maybe there should be some kind of law that requires owners to show up at the businesses they own I bet a lot of the shopping and Retail experience would be vastly improved if that were the case this Home Depot is a perfect example of what happens when a corporation and business owners are out of touch with the front line.
I think I'll stand outside of the store tomorrow and ask people to read this review maybe that'll send a clear message to the owner via a gross...
Read moreTerrible warranty services my $699 dishwasher has been broke for 4 weeks and Home Depot sent a company from a private repair shop to look at it. 2 repairman showed up and both said the unit is unrepairable and they notified the Home Depot warranty department but now Home Depot is dragging their feet on trying to take care of this. I am furious with them and will never buy anything from the Home Depot again. This is unacceptable to me paying what I did for the dishwasher and the warranty was not cheap either. Home Depot needs to honor their warranty and resolve this issue and do what is required to fix or replace this broken dishwasher. I have been without my dishwasher now going on 5 weeks this is a horrible experience and Home depot should not allow this to happen. Update: on 4/18 I talked to Benjamin a manager in Arkansas and he said they would be mailing me a check for $422.95 I told him that since home depot didnt carry the Frigidaire Gallery anymore Lowes did and had it on sale for $399.00 and the sale ended on 4/19 he said I could buy it and within 5 days I would have a check. But now today is 4/25 and still nothing. So today 4/25 I called them and now they said they aren't going to pay me anything. So now Im out the original dishwasher, the warranty price, 6 weeks with no dishwasher and now I bought another one and still have a warranty on the other one but they won't honor it. Read moreJust wanted to say I went to the other big box store near the Home Depot in West Mifflin to inquire about refrigerators. I waited for quite some time to get some assistance. Once someone arrived to help, they quickly asked if we had gone on line to research the product. I replied no we had just started shopping and wanted to see the refrigerators in person due to the price of each company's varied. When your spending close to $3,000 or more you want to get the best bang for the buck. The associate of the store then directed me to their work station and said that we can use their computer to find the product we were looking for. I asked a few questions and he acted as if I should know if these products offered and the features we were looking for and if the refrigerator is availabie. Before getting any answer he just walked away. This was not the first time for this to happen. SAD to say that they just didn't care to offer any other assistance! So now I know what the "L" in that stores name stands for, Loser. And that is why I went to the home depot. You can always find someone willing to help you find what you need, and for this reason I don't mind waiting for Home Depots associates when the store is busy. Customer Service means a lot.
