Fairbourne Station Promenade & Plaza — Attraction in West Valley City

Fairbourne is great! It's not a splash pad, but a long shallow river with boulders of different sizes to climb on. A few bridges over the river. No dogs allowed near the river. My 2 and 5 year old played here for 4 hours today! The water is REALLY warm so it's not super refreshing- more like playing in a warm bath on a hot day! But every kid I saw was having a blast, and I loved playing here with my kids. It's beautiful and clean, nice bathrooms and drinking fountains, some shaded tables. No shade over the river. I love that it's shallow and safe and kept my kids entertained for way longer than anticipated. Very diverse and lovely people...

Found this place around Memorial Day and have been 3 times this summer. I love that it is close to the library and mall too! We went twice on food truck Thursday and had a great time. Peruvian food and gourmet sliders and dessert scones and malasadas makes a fun atmosphere for you to enjoy. The splash pad is fun for kids. Be prepared they will get wet! Great place to just spend some time under the warm sun, listening music, watch kids skating, biking or just simply chat on group around some table, just little detail to keep in mind and probably find the solution, public bathrooms are frequently used by teenagers to smoke cigarettes, or more actually for weed, you can tell, one gets in, another is by the door checking out and the bathroom is big enough for a few.
