Pricey yes, but I will say my experience here was far from all the negative reviews I've seen on this place, could it be better? Maybe, but service was impeccable and not over bearing, they even treated my 3 year old with the same respect as us adults, the steak wasn't the best almost $40 steak I've had, but it was tasty, a nice selection of meat and enjoyable and the smashed potatoes were very tasty and unique, my fiance's ribs were excellent and the fries really yummy. Even my kids chicken strips were quite excellent. My young one got chocolate milk which they either didn't have or ran out of so our waiter actually MADE him chocolate milk with syrup used for desserts, that's customer service, instead of saying sorry no, he made it happen. Kudos to the staff. Also FYI, this will no longer be a Shula's grill much longer, I heard staff taking about the restaurant change, but will check it out when it changes because they are keeping the same staff (who made our dining experience positive) and expanding the menu. If I had one thing I'd say needs changing it's the limited menu, not a large selection at the moment besides the burgers which I'm my opinion ARE quite over priced at $12-$17 for a red Robin knock off burger especially with an in-n-out a block away..... And my other suggestion if they read this is with the seasoned fries you have they would make the BEST poutine in town.... Seriously..... And the appetizer was great, had the guacamole and chips but for the price include enough chips for the surprisingly small amount of guac you serve, it's like 11 bucks for what has to be about half an avocado and literally about 10 chips..... Other than that a solid 4 stars for your staff, the perpetration and tastiness of the food but not 5 stars for to the value..... Just a bit over priced for the quality. Quality is good to great but you would maybe even make more money with lower prices so it wasn't out of reach of most every day diners therefore increasing the quantity of patrons to this establishment. Final note...... Yes.... The super bowl trophies displayed are replicas...
Read moreI have never written a review in my life. However after my experience I feel strongly enough that I’m doing it…
Wife and I went to Shula's 347 Grill for a date night on Sunday 10/28/18 at approx. 8pm for dinner.
Upon arrival the restaurant was empty, save for 2 other tables with guest. The waiter that greeted us appeared slightly disheveled in that his pants were falling down and he appeared to be stoned (red glossy eyes and trouble focusing on what was being said). Those should have been our first clues about Shula’s…
After being seated the Stoned Waiter took our drink order. I asked for a coffee with cream, and wife requested a red wine.
Drinks arrived shortly thereafter. Wine was great according to my wife. The coffee however was lukewarm at best, and no cream was brought. We ordered our entrees of New York Strip for the wife, with house salad and blue cheese dressing, and the Ribs for myself with a Cesar salad. I reminded Stoner for cream again.
The Stoned Waiter soon came back with the cream at the same time as bringing only my salad to the table.
The entrees were then brought out. Wife’s steak was fine, however her salad never showed up, and Stoned Waiter had to be reminded of it. He then brought it, sans dressing… I was then given a Prime Rib plate (remember I ordered the Ribs). I pointed this out to Stoner and he left with the plate to make the correction. I shortly after heard it be delivered to one of the other 2 occupied tables. Once my ribs arrived I was dismayed to discover that they were burned past the point of edibility. I was also disappointed in the fries that came with it, as they were WAY over salted and SUPER stale. It wouldn’t surprise me to learn if they were days old…
The waiter, to his credit, understood the disappointment and did not charge us for the rib plate.
Overall a terrible experience, and I will not...
Read moreThieves and worst Experience Ever. Took our son in-law here for his B-Day. Called ahead said they had a table for 6 with no wait. Sat down got water and ordered appetizers. Onion rings came out quick and were good. Shrimp cocktail took a min and was warm like it had been setting under the heat lamp. Then after 20 min had passed we asked to if we could order drinks. Ordered 2 cokes and 2 titos mules. Took 20 min to get one coke and never did get the other one, the mules came out 15 min later and and ended up being mexican mules. We finally asked our waitress if we could order food which seemed like an hour later. They were out of the flat iron steak but said they had ribeye, so we ordered two of those. Food took a while but not to long and when the steaks came out they were paper thin. $35.99 for a paper thin steak? Never did get the french fries with the burger or the salad we ordered. The entire dinner took over 3 hours. Worst service we have every experienced and they were not even busy in fact it was dead. Not sure exactly what is going on with all these good reviews and pictures of nice thick steaks but this wasn't our experience. My grandson spilled his coke and the waitress didn't even acknowledge it and she was standing right there. No water refills either, or an offer to a to go box for the mac n cheese, we gave up on having to ask for anything at this point. I have been in the food industry before as a waitress and I have always tipped, no matter the service because I know when your are busy things happen. But it was so bad we left nothing. I guess the waitress felt that was unfair so she decided to give herself a $40.00 tip, which by the way is against the law and have called our credit...
