Ross Dress for Less — Local services in West Valley City

This is my favorite Ross location in Salt Lake area. It seems bigger, or at least to have a bigger variety of items. I also feel like they do a much better job with security. I have witnessed and reported blatant ship lifting at both Jordan Landing and 5400 S. location, and neither did anything (this was a few years ago, it has probably improved). When we went a week ago, I couldn't believe how many clearance clothing items there were (and I go at least several times a year) but, it was just as stores re-opened after quarantine, so there were a LOT of empty racks. In addition, they would not allow anyone to use dressing rooms or bathrooms (because they couldn't social distance). I appreciate that they attempted to make things safe, however, the dressing room would be easiest place to distance if u only opened every other stall. And, Im not sure why your bathrooms can not be cleaned when there are public restrooms open in MANY stores, including walmart. Since brands are so varied and random, there is no way you can buy based on size. But, we just could not bypass so many good deals (including pants for 2.99, blouse for 3.99, mens jeans and dress pants 8.99- AHHHHH!). SO... we bought a LOT, went home, tried on, and returned what didn't fit. We returned to the Jordan Landing location (my second favorite, but often disorganized) they were great with return (returned tio our card with receipt and within 30 days). But, it did take almost 20 minutes to return 8 items (not in line- JUST at checker). But, we found great deals there, too and returned 8 items and purchased 9 more items. Hands down the WORST customer service I have experienced in my entire life. Majority of the employees have a bad attitude and seem to dislike their job and the existence of customers. You guys MUST read about how disastrous my experience today was. The lines were so damn long and there were only TWO people at the cash wrap. Get this, the line extended even more and anyway a lady proceeded to the next register that was available and the employee, Lino, turns off his light as the lady was walking towards his register. He goes, “I’m closed”. First of all, embarrassing that poor lady in front of everyone and then proceeding to walk away. Seriously? Now there’s one person at the cash wrap? The ENTIRE line of people got so frustrated that we all laughed and were verbal about how disgusted we were with how rude he was being. It doesn’t matter how bad your day is, I’ve worked in retail and you should know how to treat others with respect and respect their time. Otherwise, quit! After Lino walks back and forth all frustrated he proceeds to go back to the register yet again, turns the light on and then decides to ring up that lady. Okay? Wow. I’m not sure why the employees aren’t taught proper matters or basic customer service skills. Ridiculous wait time, employees have no sense of communication skills, and the fitting rooms are so filthy. The most awful treatment I ever have!!! I when today 10/30/2016 and there was a junior shirt I wanted The tag was distach and I try looking for another just like it and no luck and I brought it to the register I told them I try finding another junior top but there' were none. I amsaw my best luck was to tell the cashier he was a nice guy actually he try to finding it but he didn't find any, the manager (some old lady I believe she is samoa (her ethic has nothing to do w her action just describing her) when the cashier guy who was also Samoa explain what was going on she refuse to speak English to him she was talking on her native Samoa language (with a very nasty attitude 😱 For no reason) the guys say I'm sorry the price is $8.99 since we can't find another like it, i was like is a junior shirt very small one (it looks like sport bra) I told her that is not worth that, I got another junior top wich it was a a jump suit shirt that cost $8.99 how can u price then the same!? She again say no is $8.99 take it if leave it.... then she walk way saying to another employee "that's what they do to get discount " I was extremely angry and felt discramanited by being Hispanic! I can't believe she when there !? I can't believe she believe I took the price off😓 I will never return again ! These is my local road I been there many time expending 400 or 200 dollars everytime !
