This building is ABSOLUTELY worth the visit if only to marvel in the architectural splendor of the rebuild. The former home of a bank, the building was purchased by Urban Outfitters and remade into one of the most delightfully enjoyable architectural spaces in the town of Westfield. If you can get past the 2 ton doors that are the significant barrier to entry, I lift weights and found it extremely difficult to open the doors due to their cumbersome weight. How on earth do the young waify clientele even manage to pry them open?! Once you’ve strained your trapezoids pulling the doors open, all is forgotten and you are greeted by an immensely spacious and grandly situated retail space. Lots of nooks and crannies and even a walk-in vault characterize the remarkable space. It’s enormous and airy and marked by exposed walls, bare piping and jousts that reach to the ceiling. It’s a master strategy in stripped down shabby chic which definitely saved them on the construction costs due to the very minimal design. The clothes? They cater to a style conscious younger hipster bent on retro looks and mismatched colors. I’m guessing they are all the rage as anytime I’m in the store it’s usually well occupied. I enjoy their book selection downstairs and always find something to keep me occupied while the lady persuses the clothes upstairs. Staff are always personable and willing to help and overall the music and mood are enjoyable. Read morePerfect shopping location for the trendiest clothes. Good selection that is constantly rotated out and the visual displays are swapped out regularly. The fitting rooms are tidy and neat and there isnt a bunch of junk on the floor all the time like in some other locations.
