Belk's customer service and its return process is among THE WORST that I have ever encountered. I placed an order on August 7, 2023. Unfortunately the shoes did not work for me. So, I contacted them regarding returning the shoes to them. I was directed to go online and was informed that $9.95 would be deducted from my total fund of $61.43. Ok so my refund should have been $51.48. I received an e-mail acknowledging that on August 27th. along with a pre-paid label which I apparently overlooked as I was already anticipating the shipping charge of $9.95 to be deducted from my total.
On September 5, 2023,I received another e-mail acknowledging receipt of the return. Then on Sunday, September 17th I received yet another e-mail informing me that they had processed my refund but only for $40.93. ???
On September 20th I spoke with , a customer service supervisor, Grace , who initiated a manual credit for the difference o $10.55 and gave me the case number.
To date I have not received that credit so I reached out to customer service and initially spoke with Dana who tried to explain to me that somehow they were justified in charging me 49.95 for both shipping the shoes to me and for me returning them to Belk. I requested a supervisor and this time spoke with Oveda. After some discussion and attempting to sell me that whole double shipping business, and after I advised her that I would be writing a review on both Yelp and Google she agreed to refund the difference. I do see that she has sent an e-mail stating that she is processing a refund for not $10.55 but $9.95. that's fine. I just don't want anything else to do with Belk EVER!!!
Here's another thing to consider. The customer service hours are only M-F-9-6 and Sat /Sun 10-6. The wait times have been long each time I have had to call ad the music that you are subjected to is PAINFUL!!!! I mean like nails on a chalkboard painful. Yup! just the thing to soothe and calm a dissatisfied...

The downfall to it all as of today, is that we have not received one of the packages. The sales lady we left it with to ship our packages was off yesterday, so we will try and reach her today. I will keep you updated.

I had to reapply for a Belk"s credit card. I had applied for one on line over 10 days ago, but had heard nothing. The sales person was very nice and took my information and said that I should be receiving it in the mail. My dilemma was that I was notified via email that I got Belk's rewards in the amount of $10. From what I understand, the coupon is only good for a certain amount of time. My problem was that in order to use it, you have to have the credit card in hand so that you can put in the security code when you check out on line. The coupon runs out tonight and I still do not have my credit card. Seems to be a bit confusing.... I question the office procedures as far as sending out credit cards in a timely manner so that one can take advantage of the $10 coupons...
