Rathje Park — Attraction in Wheaton

This park has decent playing equipment, a quaint, little ball field, and a good size pond. The park is kept in fairly clean shape, which is one of the best things about it - with the exception of the pond. The pond is almost always covered in algae blooms and one can usually find a good bit of trash that has been thrown in. It's a shame because this spot can be pretty good for fishing early in the season before the algae takes over. Great park that's been here since i was a kid...theu have updated it numerous times....my family does wish the park was geared for a larger age range, haf a WATEr FOUNTIAN .... can't wait until the pond improvements are done and if they haven't stocked the pond with a variety of fish.....they NEED TO...overall though the park is really great for younger children and beginner...
