Our visit to Qcurrys Indian Kitchen in Wheaton was an interesting experience. Initially hoping for a combo, we were informed that those were available only during lunch hours, so we proceeded to order from the menu. Ordering through the menu, both in print and via the table's QR code, provided a unique twist to the dining experience. However, the process of ordering, paying, and tipping all at once through the phone left me questioning the logic of tipping before even trying the food – a consideration the restaurant might want to revisit. For appetizers, we tried the Aloo Tikki Channa and Paneer Pakoras. The Paneer Pakoras stood out for their softness, earning a thumbs up from my wife. The Aloo Tikki was also good, providing a satisfying start to our meal. Moving on to the mains, we opted for Malai Kofta, Matter Paneer, and naan. The flavors were good, though I would place this restaurant in the "great" category rather than labeling it as excellent, especially having visited many Indian restaurants across the US. A surprising observation was the use of paper plates for serving. While it's an eco-friendly choice, the extra-hot curries caused the hard paper plates to scrape off – a minor inconvenience worth mentioning. Overall, Qcurrys Indian Kitchen is a good spot for a quick snack, deviating from the typical restaurant setup. Special mention to the enthusiastic and helpful gentleman at the front – his positive demeanor added a pleasant touch to our visit. Kudos to him! In summary, Qcurrys Indian Kitchen offers a unique dining experience with good food and friendly service, making it a worthwhile stop, especially for those seeking a quick and tasty bite.

WOW! This place has only been open a week and they are killing it!! Flabbergasted at the quality of the food and the happy atmosphere of this awesome little spot. I have a feeling all our parallel parking skills will greatly improve as visiting QCurry's is absolutely worth the extra hassle. The owner/chef is a pure delight, the man radiates joy and gratitude and it comes through in his cooking! The staff was eager to help and courteous. I couldn't get over the value of the food as well, it fed two adults plus enough to take home for a small lunch the next day. We split a combo two with an extra side of rice, an order of naan (don't skip this!!) and an order of samosas which I also adored. The owner gifted us an order of the kheer dessert, the perfect sweet ending to a delicious lunch. I feel so thankful this restaurant opened in our town and can't wait to go back, I literally want to try everything on his menu!

Visited this place on weekdays, as this was on our list for a long time. Ambiance is good enough to welcome. Had quick chat with manager Mohan, wonderful guy. As we were hungry, we directly jump to main course. He has suggested chicken vindaloo and chicken kadai with Naan and lachha paratha. Have also ordered mutton seekh kebab. Everything was ordered in indian level spicy. I must say, all the dishes are extraordinary and good in taste. Feels like I am having food in india. Authentic Indian cooking with unapologetic spice level, which is good in taste. We also got kheer as complimentary. Also got a chance to meet chef Rituraj, Thank you so much for awesome food. Overall good experience, will definitely plan for next visit.

High Hopes, Disappointing Reality

Eagerly anticipating a taste of home, I visited this restaurant based on its glowing 4.9-star reviews and comparisons to London’s Indian cuisine scene. Sadly, my experience fell far short of expectations. As someone raised on UK-style Indian food, I found the dishes here aligned with the "Americanized" interpretation—lacking the depth and authenticity I craved.

The Mains: Sweetness Over Spice Chicken Tikka Masala (Medium): Edible but underwhelming. The sauce leaned oddly sweet, reminiscent of butter chicken, overshadowing the savory, spiced profile this dish should embody. Chicken Khadai (Spice Level 7):A letdown. The meat combined boneless and lower-quality cuts, some of which were nearly inedible. Despite requesting extra heat, the same sweet base sauce dominated, muting the bold, tangy flavors characteristic of a true khadai.

Bread & Starters: A Mixed Bag Garlic Naan: Standout—flaky, buttery, and aromatic. Tandoori Roti: Disappointingly nontraditional, lacking the earthy, wholemeal texture. Aloo Tikki & Samosas: On par with standard American-Indian offerings—inoffensive but unremarkable.

Final Thoughts While the restaurant may satisfy those accustomed to milder, sweeter American-Indian fare, it misses the mark for anyone seeking authentic UK-Indian flavors. The reliance on a universal sweet base sauce, inconsistent protein quality, and diluted spice profiles left me disheartened. For context, my critique stems from a lifelong familiarity with British-Indian cuisine—a benchmark this establishment didn’t meet. Proceed with tempered expectations if your palate leans stateside, but UK expats may want to...

My first time here picking up takeout on 9/7/25 I ordered veggie samosas, yellow dal, and tandoori roti. I love indian cuisine, I get these dishes at every indian restaurant I have ever been to. I am 11 years vegan and they said they accommodated and made it all vegan and dairy free. I trust because I said it was an allergy and they are legally supposed to take allergies seriously. Anyway, ate it all and that was all I ate out that weekend. That night I was very sick and for the next 50 hours and to this day writing this I feel unwell. I threw it all up, could barely breathe felt like I was dying was super painful and had the most liquid diarrhea I couldn't control it or keep anything down. I haven't been able to eat and its been 2 days since. I called them today letting them know about my vomiting, diarrhea and food poisoning and wanting my money back. The first guy hung up on me and said they can't do anything. Called again, the second guy said they can't do anything if I can't go back in person or give a doctor's note. I informed them I live very far and don't have insurance so can't do either. Second guy on phone took my name and number and said the owner would call me back after they finished a phone call, they never did. I am so glad I am still alive after eating food from here. Truly was scared of how my body rejected all of the food I ate from here. They don't care if you live or die after eating their food. Eat at...
