Cut out the rude and over priced middle person.

Was at another, well priced shop, antique and resale shop in Harlem, and encountered the rude owner (blonde haired, taller, female) of this shop, buying for her shop. Where she’ll charge you more, of course.

She was by a dresser of drawers with earrings and I asked her if she could please move so I could take out the shelf. I meant literally, I think she thought I was going to sit there under her.

She rudely scolded that she was still looking. I told her I planned to takeout the shelf and look at it elsewhere, so I wouldn’t be in her way. She did not apologize for her snotty comment.

Here’s a clue, don’t be rude to people in a niche store with similar products to the ones you sell. No one in the vintage community appreciates rude owners especially those who up charge from reasonably priced shops. Will...

I had an extremely lovely experience at Frocks and Frills. I can’t wait to go again. My first time shopping actual legit vintage for myself and I felt welcomed. My questions were answered and it was great to speak to knowledgeable people. Don’t be afraid to ASK QUESTIONS, I know nothing about vintage except what I want to look like and they got me there! It is very clear that this store is run on a love/passion for each and every item they have in there. If you want help being outfitted you will be helped. If you have a certain budget it will be met to the extent it can be. Shopping Vintage, people have to understand the work that goes behind making sure these items are well taken care of for us to be able to buy an item to begin with. BEWARE!!! DO NOT SHOP HERE!! I was very excited and interested to come here looking to find some vintage jewelry. This turned out to be one of the worst shopping experiences I’ve EVER had. My first impression was it was small, super cluttered and smelled very odd.. I was also not impressed with any of the selection of clothes or jewelry they had it all just seemed like a bunch of old junk (not to mention it was expensive). After spending a couple of minutes in the store the employee and owner started staring at me while I was looking at the bracelets and began to accuse me of stealing. I am not surprised not a soul was in this shop they’re customer service is terrible!! Overall, this whole experience made me super uncomfortable and I will never be coming back here again!!
