This place is phenomenal and also not over priced. It's definitely one of the best fast food restaurants in the area. It has just a couple of tables and stools inside and a few more tables for outdoor dining. They have hot dogs, hamburgers, gyros, polish sausage sandwiches, meatball sandwiches, Maxwell Street style sandwiches, as well as plenty other Chicagoland favorites. They offer a large variety of daily combo food specials at reasonable prices. I had the grilled chicken sub and it was delicious, definitely one of the best subs I had in a very long time. The chicken breasts were slightly charred giving it an amazing of the grill taste. The poor boy sub is also very good, but is not your typical poor boy sub. It's more like an Italian sub. Definitely not like the poor boy subs or sandwiches that you're used to from the Southern parts of the country. If you're in the area and hungry, looking for a place with no frills to eat, stop by and you'll be pleasantly surprised like I was.

Paid a visit here for the first time today, and I'm glad I decided to stop by. Called in an order for pick-up, and about 10 minutes later, I got my gyro sandwich and a Poor Boy sub. The gentleman behind the counter was welcoming and up-beat and promptly brought out my order. The dining area was neat, and the table and floors were clean. There is also outdoor seating available just off to the right of the sandwich shop. Took the food home and dug right in. The Poor Boy sub was simple and satisfying. From the 3 types of fresh deli meat to the shredded lettuce, chopped onions, and sliced tomatoes, it had an excellent, well-balanced bread-to-filling ratio. The gyro was loaded with succulent, juicy meat and garnished with fresh fragrant onions and tomato and lathered in savory cucumber sauce. Both of those sandwiches were delicious and filling. I'm looking forward to my next visit. Thanks for the good food and good service. Cheers!

Lived in the area for years, always passed by this place. I regret not coming here sooner. Definitely a hidden gem. Gio, what a great person. Smiled while talking, great recommendations and overall charismatic. The food, I mean I’ve had some Poor Boy subs but this one was just top notch. Added the perfect bit of crispy bacon and *chefs kiss* perfection. Fries were awesome and the pizza puff was delicious. The seating area was clean and overall this is one of those small places that you can’t wait to come back to!

Great place - BUT - starting to "jack" prices (even on the monthly 'specials') now, and scrimp on other items. Long-time customers have to be noticing this.

We used to go out of our way to get their chicken salads, which just a few months ago had LARGE STRIPS OF CHICKEN on top. Now, the salads are $1 more, and the large chicken strips are gone - replaced by little bitty chicken pieces (probably from a can). Very noticeable, and wrong. We had been getting this for 3-4 years, and easily noticed the sudden change.

(Sometimes lately, the pitas that have come with the salads have been obviously old/stale).

No more Lent fish specials. The previous few years, various fish-related items (fish sandwich, shrimp dinner package) were discounted during Lent. IE. The Shrimp dinner package the previous few years was $12.25, discounted to 9.99 during Lent. Not this year. Again, and the prices on these items are now more (Shrimp dinner package is now $13.25).

As mentioned generally, we've noticed varying degrees of change here in just the past 6-12 months. Jacked prices, jacked prices on the monthly "specials" (to the point where they aren't even really "specials" anymore), and scrimping on other items - especially the salads. We have loved going here and supporting them, but will be...

I don't know how they do it. Typically fast food places after a whole tend to cut corners or mark up higher prices to keep up with demand and profit. This place however has never disappointed me. I'm not a big foodie but when I want to treat myself I come here for sure. Only one time had I not gotten what I wanted but it was a simple mistake and the food was great regardless. This place has bever let me down when I expect a great meal, and the prices are amazing too. The burgers have an old school flavor to then and they are always juicy and savory. The fries are always fresh and perfectly fried to be crispy outside and soft inside . The hkrchsta here is always sweet and full of flavor. Not to mention the staff. Honestly if any of you guys read this, good job. I've never felt unwelcome here and I know you guys do your best because people always have a bad day but the staff here always greets with a smile. This isn't a regular fast food place, food takes a few minutes to cook, but the wait is worth for fresh and delicious food. They also offer a great variety of other foods. Please never change guys, you...

Just moved to the area recently and so glad to find a place like this nearby! Don't listen to people complaining about the "atmosphere" or whatever. This is a legit Chicago-style fast food joint, with burgers, Italian beef, hot dogs, gyros, etc. I grew up going to places like this in Cook county and atmosphere doesn't figure into it. It's unpretentious, not fussy. They serve tasty, reasonably priced food.

Got the gyros here for my first visit. Last time I had gyros, I got them at Scooby's in Westmont and paid WAY too much money for the meal. They were MUCH cheaper at Poor Boy 2. The ones at Scooby's were slightly better for a couple reasons, but not enough to justify the ridiculous price. Here I got a yummy gyro with all the fixins and didn't feel like I got robbed doing so. Also the service is incredibly friendly and courteous without feeling fake or obnoxious.

They have a bunch of other stuff on the menu and I'm looking forward to trying more of it, like the Italian beef and the subs. Will definitely become a regular...
