This sports facility is huge, with gazebos and plenty of public power outlets which are a hugely appreciated accommodation especially to someone like myself who is homeless due to hurricane Michael. I've stopped off a few times to charge all my power banks and have only had one run in with the local police who were friendly and advised me that I wasnt doing anything wrong they were just concerned because I had fallen asleep in my car while waiting on my mother. They gave me some advice about areas that I could possibly pitch a tent around Tennessee and also advice on local camp grounds. After running my Id of course.. but I had seen them a few times over the last week before any decided to stop me. As far as the dog park goes its extremely nice, there is a side for smaller dogs and bigger dogs with a doggie water fountain and plenty of toys plus other activities like a log bridge, tunnels etc. for dogs and their family's to enjoy. The locals were kind and also informative about places I could possibly be able to pitch a tent without spending more then 5$ a night which was really helpful. If you're in the area you should do yourself and your pupper a favor...
Read moreReally nice dog park. Nice covered shelter with tables for dog parents to sit under out of the sun. There's two areas, one for small dogs and the other for large dogs. They have a really cute bubblegum machine filled with tennis balls for only a quarter!!! Each area is an acre so plenty of room for the puppees to run loose and play without the worry of traffic or your dog running off. The dog fountains are really nice also. I brought dog poo sacks unsure whether they had any there and they do. Really nice poo stations!! So no need to bring any with you. I definitely recommed this dog park. We went around 1:30 stayed till 3:15 and no one was there once we got there. Later a gentlemen with a small dog showed up, so our dog had the run of the large dog side. Would be an excellent place to train for agilities. They have a few basic obstacles, tires, tunnel ramp, a couple of other things. But enough to start with the basics. My dog was too busy sniffing around to play and greeted every walker that walked by. She's a people person,...
Read moreThis is a well cared-for dog park. The cabana is welcoming. The grass in both the small and large dog areas was green (it is April, now). There are fun obstacles in both areas as well as poop bags, lined trash containers, water bowls, hoses, and a water fountain. The green trees provide enough shade to enjoy a romp. There are some benches for the dogs' best friend. There is no toilet at this location, but there was a port-a-potty up the hill about...
