This is one of the best places to enjoy nature, take a walk or go fishing. Youā€™d be surprised how remote it looks within the park although this is located in one of the busiest neighborhoods in the city. Parking is available by Woodlawn street.

Fun and quick fishing hole with nice banks which make for great sittinā€™ spots. Very well maintained with nicely mowed trails leading to the water. Clean as a whistle with hardly any trash laying around...I havenā€™t caught a fish yet, but thatā€™s not the parkā€™s faultā€”-itā€™s obviously my fishing pole...or my DMF bait (thatā€™s really the name of the company that makes the worms I use)...Post your pictures so everyone knows when the fish...

This place surprised me. Went on a fishing date with my Honey and it was wonderful. Quiet, clean, beautiful, his fishing spot, nature trails, well kept and mowed paths, pretty big and lots of trees for shade. I highly recommend. Pets asked to stay on paths. No trash cans. Will need to dispose off your trash when you leave. Easy parking. Liquor store across the street and places to purchase...
