While this shop has a nice variety, they sold me a snake that was clearly an import, despite them saying it wasn't, they couldn't give me a name of who they got it from. To be fair, the animal was extremely cheap, even for an import. And it was clear of parasites, but it was clearly a long term captive import, not a captive born individual, otherwise it would've been $400 and not $50. The snake lived 4 months before eventually getting mouthrot out of the blue and passing. Just be cautious with what you purchase. Do your research. These guys do import animals, and can be dishonest about their origins. *Edited since the company replied The snake was taken to the vet and treated. It did not make it through treatment as treatment consisted of two tube fed medications, which is extremely stressful, when mouthrot is a stress induced disease usually. Also, a captive bred gonyosoma oxycephalum would not have nose rub, nor would it be rail thin. Another note, y'all couldn't even give me the name of who you got it from. Said it was from a "breeder" in Florida. So not a local breeder, if a breeder at all. Very few people breed gonyosoma oxycephalum in captivity. And as previously stated, they run around $400. The animal sold to me was a long term captive import at best. I've talked in person with y'all about your imports. You do import animals. Don't lie about that. I spent $300 on vet bils for that animal. Cbb animals do not have nose rub, that is a tail tell sign...
Read moreEDIT Discussed with a manager who was absolutely amazing, and completely made me feel like this would not happen again. I love coming to this store and have been a costumer since we moved to Wichita in July. So glad the management team was so attentive. I come to this store a lot to get crickets and such for my lizards all the time. I stopped in the store today (2-4-2024) around 1:30 to get some worms for my bearded dragon. I had some questions about my dragon that I was hoping to get answered. I was trying to ask the girl at the counter some questions as I was checking out and she was less than interested in answering anything for me. Instead of maybe just saying “I honestly don’t really know for sure” she said to Google it like I was dumb. And then literally proceed to turn away from me as I was literally in the middle of talking to her and she started trying to get some boy to try her boba drink that she had. She completely blew me off and ignored me from that point on. This was the second time I had come into that store and had a very rude experience with a young employee. It has been enough for me to say that I will be getting my supplies from...
Read moreI adore this place and the employees. I come here to get feeder rodents and roaches every 2-3 weeks since its opening and everyone is always so professional and cheerful! I also got my lovely albino boa constrictor boy there two years ago as well as occasionally some tarantulas. I had asked them if they had something I had been looking for and at the time they didn't, but had recommended other pet stores that might have had it.
