The female server gal with the heavy accent is very unpleasant to deal with. Asked me if I'm married and why I am working and not let my husband work so I can stay home and look after my appearance and rather worry about my beauty. I'm like WTF in my head. Lol
She did not finish through with my order with 100% attentive care and speed, every time I come here I felt as if I'm asking her doing me a favor with getting the food and process my payment. She answered the phone in the middle of my order, could have let the phone-guest wait and taken care of the guests in front of you first? She had difficulty understanding English taking orders and I had to wait to see her straightening out her English with the phone-guest. I can't stand this server woman!
Today my food is dried she did not mix up the veggie with the sauce at the bottom before serving, giving me only the dried top. I personally told her to get me the sauce but it did not get fulfilled. Please train her more on customer service skills, pay more attention to guests and treat them equally well (whether Asian or not) it seems she gets intimidated by Asian guests, so she gives them an attitude LOL. How about greeting guests with "What would you like..." this sounds more professional and for heaven sake, don't meddle with guest's personal lives. She is a perfect example of second degree embarassment in regard to her customer service skill. Why the store is stuck with this unpleasant gal is...
Read moreYou wouldn't expect much from China Go, judging from the outside. After eating, you would realize that your expectations are correct. A fast food Chinese place that serves their wares from warmed chafing dishes like you would get at Panda Express.
I got a three-item meal with beef and broccoli, the house special chicken (the lady behind the counter let me in on what makes it special - it's a lemon chicken), and the spicy General chicken.
The latter two were breaded fried pieces of chicken, but of course leaving them to sit in their own sauce for any meaningful duration leaves the breading soggy. I can't say much for the flavors, but to call the General chicken "spicy" was a gross exaggeration.
The beef and broccoli fared better, due to it not being fried. Bamboo shoots and carrots came along for the ride, which I thought was a nice little way to mix up the typical titular ingredients for the dish.
A big ol' heaping of fried rice or lo mein come with the meal, and you get your choice of a crab rangoon or a chicken eggroll.
The saving grace of China Go is the absolute mountain of food they give you, as depicted in my included photograph. It cost a scant $7. China Go knows their audience, and while I can't say I would return, I would certainly recommend it over Panda Express, if you're hankering for some cheap Chinese. Support local business,...
Read moreWaited over an hour for food from the time of ordering, over 20 min after quoted time. Food was bland-pork was rubbery. "Steamed vegetables" were clearly sautéed and almost mushed together in the foil with some kind of sauce. I ordered extra meat, but it seems my order was cut up small and mixed all in-didnt look like extra meat. Only thing that tasted decent was the fried rice. The place was not busy for a Saturday night. I ordered a few different things to try but I was so disappointed given the other reviews. For the price of the food, there's no way I could eat here again and take the risk of trying something new just to throw it in the trash. Staff was nice...
