Definately recommend coming here! For $3 a person it's not bad! It has cool stuff to see..(mostly creepy) I thought it was cool because there was so much oddball stuff.I thought houdinis stuff was cool and they had items from horror movies they have a two headed cow in the front which was really cool to look at! The staff here has always been friendly and welcoming! My husband and I met every staff member(on different days and shifts)..they were ALL polite, friendly and helpful they had knowlege on alot of the items and liked explaining it (was enthuiastic on showing us the items and pointing em out) which also made for a great experience. I'm really glad they expanded on this museum and I REALLY REALLY hope they continue expanding..if they make a second floor that would be AWESOME..please do! Their stuff is awesome but i really hope they expand with more attractions..so far they added a mirror maze and a laser room! The mirror maze is wayy too trippy for me LOL i had to look at the ground my husband later confessed he did too.. it was cool to see a million of us all around but it was so odd! You really feel like theres no focal point..there was alot of strobing lights in there too.I seriously thought there was going to be a scary clown pop out!But it was still cool to see. The laser room was awesome! You go in there and hit a red button on the wall and it starts you off and it's timed..there is green lines kinda zigzagged and you have to get through them to try and not set one off...think spy movies and laser security system. I tried doing the catwoman thing by crawling and climbing over the green lazers..it didn't work so great but i tried..my husband tripped it off too! Lol.You can go several times through the laser room if...

Three stars for the content, an extra star for the staff.

This place is full of eccentric curiosities with an ominous atmosphere. Here you will find everything from possessed dolls to shrunken heads, from Harry Houdini's ouija board to Alister Crowley's doorbell, from Christmas cards signed by Charles Manson, to an actual stuffed mermaid.

Their slogan, "Of course it's real!" hints at their tongue-in-cheek tone, but they encourage visitors to take it as seriously as they dare. Will you pass the shrunken heads that require an offering of a coin without dropping one in the box? Are you THAT sure that the curse isn't real? 😅

⚠️ Be warned, there is some scary, gory, and brutal content here that may not be appropriate for the very young, or the very timid. ⚠️

As the name implies, there is more of a small museum feel due to informative signage and some references to "Local Legends". This is not a simple curiosity shop with items for sale. In fact, their gift shop is sorely lacking.

However, they do sell tshirts which, if you're the kind of person who enjoys a good demonic-looking mermaid drawing (as am I), you will want to take the time to search for and acquire. They're in the corner. You're welcome.

It's too late to say "in short" but in short, this is a fun small place with a friendly guy at the front door. You are welcomed in and given all the time you wish to spend looking at the shelves and display cases, the items on the walls, hanging from the ceiling, behind glass, and inside staged scenes.

Although the place is small, there is lots to see if you wish to spend the time looking at all the objects and reading all the information about them.

I've been twice and enjoyed it each time, and...

Excellent place to go you are not allowed to take pictures inside or of the artifacts but there are areas you can take pictures in that has props in them, there's a lot of cool displays for example they have items from the old days, a mummified baby dragon, a skull of a Tasmanian devil and a human finger bunch of cool Missouri items some of them will give you the creeps and some of them are just plain interesting. This was my first time going there and I loved it, they also have a coffin in there where you have to escape from there's a camera inside of coffee and watching you so your family or friends can be watching you as well but don't worry when you want to get out that let you out if you ain't found your way out yet, there's also a laser room something like a James Bond movie setup but it is off the Enterprise the USS Enterprise from Star Trek the lasers are all over the room and you have to get through the maze without getting struck by laser once you're on the other side of the room you had a red button to see if you have the best time you have three tries. It is fun and adventurous I recommend this place if you are by yourself or with a large group or family this place is kid friendly but also there are items in there that has motion sensors and when you get close that has motion sensors and when you get close it will scare you kind of wakes you up LOL. So I give this place a 5-star rating and I'm probably end up going back just for the fun of it. This place is very affordable $3 entry fee $2 for the coffin and $2 for the Laser Maze and they also have something else there I can't remember what it is that's...

Was not very impressed but but was only $3. The museum has some cool exhibits but is very cluttered and cramped. You are limited on what you can take photos of and what you can really is not very impressive, basically some life-size horror character animatronics and poor looking wax type figures. A really cool exhibit was a life-size Annabelle doll which looks like it stepped off the movie set. Some other movie props were neat also. We did pay an additional fee to do the mirror maze to make the most of the time there and it was very disappointing save a neat scary looking monster animatronic. There were some other things that also cost additional money that were not working during our visit. All in all it’s fine for the price or if you are in the area looking for something to do. I would not recommend going to the area solely for this or if you can do something else to do.

This museum of oddities is a must-see if you're traveling close to or through Wilmington. It isn't huge, so it won't take all day to explore but there is a ton of strange, bizarre, and macabre objects to see and read about, including some film memorabilia and letters from infamous serial killers. They also have additional attractions to add to the fun. There is a laser obstacle course advertised that we didn't explore, but we did go through the mirror maze and it was fun, even for my 3yo. They also have a light-based game projected onto the floor that kept my son entertained. Little kids probably won't enjoy the actual exhibits but the side attractions, especially at the super affordable price point, make it worth going with kids of all ages. We're planning on going back again the next time we pass thru town.
