Edit: After the response from the owner, I feel like they genuinely care about their customers. The reply was thoughtful and it's obvious my concerns were heard. I'm changing the rating based on the fact that the owner put in real effort to acknowledge the issues. We'll definitely give it another try. Thanks for taking the time to respond in such an awesome way.
We arrived around 5:15pm and sat at the bar which only had a couple of people there, the tables were mostly empty.
After about ten minutes the bar tender took our order and brought us a Black Rose and Good Vibes Only (ironic), which were both yummy. Their presentation was also interesting/ fun/unique; the Black Rose came with a smoke filled bubble, and the Good Vibes had an ice Buddha.
From there the experience deteriorated. We never got offered another drink, despite our empty glasses sitting on the edge of the bar, granted they were starting to get a little busier and the bar tenders were scrambling.
After awhile without drinks we decided to order fries. We were given a paper order form which we filled out within seconds, considering we had plenty of time to sit there and think about what we wanted to order.
The bar tender never came back to take our order form, even though we held it visibly and kept trying to get his attention.
A couple came up beside us and ordered fries and he immediately picked up their order and began entering it, when I said, "excuse me, we've been waiting for you take our order long before they arrived. "
He replied, "just a moment," and continued placing their order. I asked him to just cash us out. After no drinks, no food, and poor service, we were done. We walked over to Seabird for cocktails and appetizers instead.
We may try again in the future and change the review accordingly, but it's not likely. We had really looked forward to trying more of what they had to offer.
Neat concept, poor execution. They need more bar tenders on Friday evenings.
Despite the poor service the staff...
Read moreHusband & I went here this past Saturday evening to try a cocktail. The drinks were pretty good. Typical cocktails with lots of ice and not that much drink for the price, but to be expected. You have to go up to the bar to order everything and there were two bartenders. My husband ordered from one and then when we decided to order fries I went up to the bar and the bartender who we ordered from first was busy. I caught the eye of the other bartender so I ordered from her. I am not sure if I was being paranoid or not but the first bartender stated to some new customers in front of her, "I am your bartender, order from me." And it felt like she was saying this in response to me ordering from the other bartender. Either way it was an awkward moment and I didn't feel very comfortable. I wanted another drink but we decided to just eat our fries and get out of there. I'm not sure if I would go back or not. I would say that based on some of the other reviews the bartending staff may need a talking to about friendliness to the guests. There are plenty of other bars in...
Read moreWe were 5 (30ish aged) hardworking women out for the first time in a while on an early Sunday evening. We all got $12 drinks then sat out on the Riverwalk patio to watch the sunset then our friends, who had a sleeping baby in a closed stroller (her first time or of the house in months after having a baby!), was rudely approached by a man (maybe a manager or owner) --who didn't start a conversation or have any greetings for us (the 5 out of 7 customers that were there)-- he just ran up (and ran in) staying, "Um, there are no children allowed in or outside of the premise." SO, now, I don't even want to walk past Sauce'd! With or without my children. We took our business elsewhere, walking down to Anne Bonney's where we had better service, better drinks (that were cheaper), and they deserved the $100 tip that Sauce'd missed out on thanks to their discrimination of a new mom...
