Chi Spa — Attraction in Wilton Manors

On June 29, 2025 I decided to book a couples massage package for me and my hubby. We barely get to have date night due to our busy schedules at work. So a few days earlier I called in during my lunch hour and had the pleasure speaking with Ms. Mayra. I told her what I was looking for. Due to our jobs hubby and I did not celebrate Fathers Day, so I thought a nice couple massage for the both of us will be fun to do.

I explained my situation to Ms. Myra, she listened. Listening to my needs is a big thing with me. She understood what type of massage I was looking for me and my hubby, she took charge. I explained to her the areas that affect us on a daily basis. The upper shoulders and neck were my issues. Hubby had issues with lower back and neck. I had and a complete back massage from top to bottom. Then flipped to the front after a WOW Factor experience with the back massage. Now it was the front. OMYYYYYYY. i also wanted the hot stones. I did have a birthday coupon that I wanted to use that had 25% off for me and my guest. My appointment was set for 1:30pm today and hubby and I walked in to the facility. We were greeted at the door. Our Masseuse(s) was waiting for us upon arrival. My husband had Ms. Maureen in one room and I had Ms. Teri in another room. Same room but with a slide in divider. Both ladies were PHENOMINAL!!! They were professional, they asked questions on the type of firm or soft massage we were looking for and the areas that needed targeting. Ms. Teri sent me on an journey of peace, relaxation. I loved her shoulder followed by the neck, making it to the thigns and legs ending with the feet and & hand massage. Yes that did it for me. OMYYYYYYYY OUTSTANDING work from both these PROFESSIONALS!

It was only a 1 hour session but when all was said and done, I did not want to get up. laying in. My hubby loved Ms. Maureen deep tissue massage. Followed by the Hot Stones. Hubby did say with Ms. Maureen hubby experience with her was one of the best massages he's had in a very long time. Chi Spa had plenty of massage rooms that looked clean, the ambiance was quiet and relax setting. Soft music so you can zone out and feel relax. We both loved our Couples Massage. Deeply disappointed with my entire experience at Chi Spa…from the moment I tried to make the appointment to the massage itself. What was meant to be a thoughtful Mother’s Day surprise turned into a frustrating and uncomfortable situation that left me more anxious than when I arrived. The booking process was confusing and disorganized, involving multiple phone numbers, miscommunication about deposits, and ultimately a last-minute rescheduling that ruined the surprise for my mom. I tried to remain optimistic, but things only went downhill from there. At the spa, there was a clear lack of coordination between the staff. The massage itself was unprofessional and uncomfortable. My therapist ignored my preferences, pressured me into an additional charge for oil without clear consent, and behaved in a way that made me feel exposed and deeply uncomfortable… not once, but multiple times. There was no flow or structure to the massage, and the environment was not clean or calming, with unpleasant smells and worn-out equipment. I didn’t want to ruin the experience for my mom, which is the only reason I didn’t leave midway. However, what should have been a relaxing, shared moment became one of the most awkward and distressing experiences I’ve had in any spa. I literally left feeling dizzy, nauseous, and with a headache which I can only attribute it to the amount of essential oil she used to drench my body. I’m not writing this review for a refund or a discount, because trust me I will not be returning. I simply hope that this feedback prompts Chi Spa to seriously reconsider how their business operates…from the booking process to the staff’s professionalism and training. I genuinely hope no one else has to go through what I did.

Do not book a massage here I went against my better judgement after reading all of the terrible reviews of this place and tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. I saw they required a text confirmation for each appointment since the ClassPass booking doesn’t feed. I texted, called several times- no response from the business until close. The owner apologized agreed to book me the next day. Again, being an understanding person that ppl make mistakes and “they got busy” I decided to book next day for 90 minute sports massage- I should have never answered their calls.

My massage was with Teri. She started my massage 15mins late…fine- she’ll make up the time; right? Wrong! Teri’s massage started off promising…for the first 20mins. Then it was like a light switched and she clearly didn’t want to do it anymore. She stood at the back of the table doing circles with ONE hand on my tibia for the remainder of the massage. I’m certain she was on her phone for part of it. At one point I looked over, her eyes were closed and her head was up towards the ceiling.

Do not waste your time with this place. I never mind tipping for good service but this place has you tip prior to service, KNOWING they will give you terrible service and since you’ve already paid the masseuse isn’t inclined to care about whether you enjoyed your experience.
