I LOVE Dolce Salato!!
First generation Italian here, born and raised in Chicago by my Nonna + Nonno, who owned a bakery in Calabria. I know my paisanos and I know my pizza, and this place is legit. The owners are from Torino (NW Italy) evident from not only their accents but also the mural on the wall of the city's skyline. It's a family affair here and that familiar/welcoming feeling extends to everyone who comes through the door.
The pizza is SO. AUTHENTICALLY. DELICIOUS.
In America, Italian (and many others) food becomes muddled by the desire for more. Italian cuisine is all about the quality of each singular ingredient/component, and this place is a great example. The crust is fantastic, the perfect balance of outer crunch with a soft and airy center. If you're a bread lover like myself, be sure to get a couple focaccia balls to go. Then comes the sauce which ACTUALLY TASTES LIKE TOMATOES (what a concept), seasoned wonderfully, and spread evenly and appropriately. Not too much, not too little. I've had every slice offering and all have been so damn good. They also have a number of gelato flavors as well as a sorbet or two available. Seating is available inside and out. Great price point as well.
This place is so good that it ALMOST remedies my longing to be sitting at my Nonna's kitchen table feasting on the pizza her and my Nonno are known for. Trust, you'll be coming...

The Food: The pizza arrived hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The crust struck the perfect balance of crispy and chewy, and the toppings tasted vibrant and well-prepared. We tried the Margherita and one of their specialty piesāboth were top-notch. The gelato, which we couldnāt resist adding to our order, was rich, creamy, and indulgentāa sweet highlight of the meal.
The Service: Even through delivery, the experience was seamless. Our order arrived promptly, still piping hot, and was carefully packaged. You can tell this team cares about their customers, even when dining remotely.
The Ambiance (at home!): While we havenāt dined in yet, Dolce Salatoās ability to deliver restaurant-quality food to our doorstep speaks volumes. We canāt wait to visit the restaurant in person to soak up the vibe and see the team behind these amazing dishes.
For anyone in Fort Lauderdale looking for a standout and solid pizza place, Dolce Salato is a must-try. Itās clear weāll be ordering from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreABSOLUTE MUST! Itās the best cannoli Iāve ever had!! My husband considers himself a pizza connoisseur and must have pizza when we travel which is A LOT. He usually finds a few things that arenāt up to his standards - but not here . This pizza was 10/10 (he had the Americano without olives) The toppings weāre the perfect amount- including the cheese- and did not slide off the slice during the bite. The crust is hand tossed- perfect depth and did not droop when picking up the slice as it was cooked perfectly- not doughy. He REALLY loved it and raved about it at breakfast to anyone who would listen. I had the lasagna and it was so good. Very authentic and seasoned so perfectly that I didnāt have to add anything. The service was wonderful! Our host has the most pleasant smile and was so genuine and kind. If you are in the area- you need to go here. I didnāt have room for the gelato- but word of mouth has it as the best in town! Iām not sure if the balsamic dressing was homemade and forgot to ask but it was amazing- not too tart- not too sweet- just right. I really feel in love with this place. Itās small with indoor and outdoor seating- and CLEAN....
