The Venue Fort Lauderdale — Attraction in Wilton Manors

This venue didn’t come recommended but was a beautiful venue and my honey and I were on the verge of booking for our wedding day. One of the biggest concerns For our whole family was that of food as we’re Caribbean and the venue does not allow external catering. On the first call, I spoke to Roby. I was rushed on the phone as he had an upcoming appointment (understandable). I asked since we had never tasted their food, if we could do a tasting prior to signing the contract/deposit. Roby laughed and said “ in that case we would be feeding all of South FL sweetie”. It caught me by surprise because he came off so insensitive. I wasn’t upset that he said no but more so how he said it as if our concerns weren’t legitimate or maybe he didn’t care. I gave him the benefit of a doubt and scheduled a walk through as maybe I was overthinking it.

Roby was just as insensitive in person. And boy is he loud. I inquired about some negative reviews we saw about the place and he started yelling and defending himself at 60 miles per hour while rolling his neck. We left, still uncertain. We were supposed to sign The contract on Saturday but I decided to call one last time and this time When Roby got out of line, I met him with the same energy. I told him I didn’t appreciate how he spoke to me. I called the sales manager, Miguel ( who was the exact opposite, so respectful) who disclosed to me that I was the 3rd person to complain about Roby that month. I decided to speak to the owner and this is where it got even worse and kind of awkward. The owner, Brett, is Roby’s partner and Brett didn’t even give me a chance to speak and basically said, if you don’t jive with Roby, maybe this isn’t the place for you. I was in shock and wanted to laugh at the same time.lol Of course Roby feels like he can speak to clients so nastily, because his partner owns the place.

My honey questioned why they treated/spoke to us that way and thought that it was maybe because we are people of color? But that wouldn’t be fair to say as we are not certain of this claim. Either way, the service was trash!! Straight basura. No reason in almost spending 30k to be met with horrible service with such an important and intimate event. The folks at the ‘W Hotel’, crystal ballroom venue or even hotelcolonade in Miami were the sweetest to engage with.

I wasn’t going to write this review as I never want to ruffle any feathers but save yourself the trouble. Hope...

This past weekend I hosted my daughter Mia's Sweet 16 celebration at The Venue Fort Lauderdale, and I must say, i couldn't have been more pleased! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with an atmosphere that exuded sophistication and elegance. The Venue Fort Lauderdale truly lives up to its reputation as an exceptional event space.

First and foremost, let's talk about the food. Wow! We decided to do different food stations and it was simply outstanding. The diverse menu selection offered something for everyone, and each dish was prepared with utmost care and attention to detail. From delectable appetizers to mouthwatering main courses and the most divine desserts, it was a true culinary delight. The quality of the ingredients and the creativity in presentation made the dining experience truly unforgettable.

We decided to do 3D mapping as Roby suggested and I am so glad we did, the lighting at The Venue Fort Lauderdale was nothing short of mesmerizing. The combination of soft and ambient lighting with the perfect mix of vibrant colors created an atmosphere that perfectly matched the mood of the event. Whether it was the romantic glow during the first dance or the energetic hues during the dance party, the lighting design enhanced every moment of Mia's celebration.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show – Roby! I cannot praise the staff enough for their outstanding service, particularly Roby, with the assistance of Kimmie who went above and beyond to ensure that every detail of Mia's Sweet 16 was flawless. His professionalism, attention to detail, and warm demeanor made the entire planning process seamless.  Roby's dedication and commitment to making Mia's celebration unforgettable truly set The Venue Fort Lauderdale apart.

Beyond the stunning aesthetics and exceptional service, The Venue Fort Lauderdale also impressed with its versatility. The space seamlessly accommodated the various aspects of Mia's Sweet 16, from the sentimental and heartfelt moments to the lively and spirited celebrations.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend The Venue Fort Lauderdale for any special occasion. The combination of delightful cuisine, enchanting lighting, and a dedicated team led by Roby and his staff creates an unparalleled experience. Mia's Sweet 16 will be etched in our memories for a lifetime, and we owe it all to The Venue Fort Lauderdale and our vendors for making it a night...

“It was the Most Epic birthday party I have ever attended!” This was the quote of literally every guest that attended my 55th Epic Black and White Red Carpet Birthday Celebration at The Venue Fort Lauderdale! I was blown away with how every tiny little detail turned out at the 2nd happiest day of my life! The Venue Fort Lauderdale; Robbie and Kimmie and your amazing staff you all did that! I can’t thank all of you enough. I keep reliving the magical night over and over again! My guests was mesmerized from the moment they walked into the cocktail reception! They loved the coconut shrimp cocktails in the tiny martini glasses. The decor, the chairs, the tables, the table settings, layout of the room, it was all so elegant and festive! The food was amazing! Thank you Robbie for preparing my salmon just the way I wanted! The video of my life showing throughout the entire event just made it so lively! “ Not a dull minute ever!” Several guests said that. The presentation of the food, my head table, and the sparkler birthday candle took everyone by surprise, including me! The way you took my vision and executed it for my party was unsurpassed! You all are true professionals at making a person’s birthday party a dream come true. The patience of Kimmie and Robbie! No wonder The Venue of Fort Lauderdale always has five stars! If I could give ten, your establishment deserves it! Robbie, thank you for preparing my Mom’s plate. She told me you did that! The sound system in The Epic ballroom was electrifying! Thanks Drew for making my grand entrance jaw dropping! I felt like a queen for each and every dress change! Thanks again Robbie for telling me about Cameo…my Montell Jordan video was such an awesome touch! “This Is How We Do It! I could go on and on because everything was absolutely beautiful! I had a vision of me coming down that glass staircase months before my party and you guys nailed it so perfectly! I will always refer The Venue Fort Lauderdale to anyone who is looking for an event space to make their night as happy, magical and unforgettable as you all made my birthday party on January 7, 2023.
