Really disappointed with the service we received from Keegan at this location this morning. She was rude and when we asked questions she replied with “I have no idea” or with incorrect information. She was so confidently wrong, she made us doubt information we had read on game stops website. Tried to buy a controller they had on display, she told us they were sold out. Asked a question about the controller, she got annoyed and gave the wrong information. When we checked online ourselves, we saw she was wrong, and decided to return a different controller we had felt pressured to buy. Our refund was supposed to be $43 and she asked us “do you really care about your $3” because apparently the register was out of ones. When we asked her if she could credit our original form of payment she was visibly frustrated. Trying to be nice we asked if we could just get store credit so we could buy the controller we wanted online. She then says if we didn’t make a purchase in store we may lose our trade in credit because she had no idea (her own words) if a trade in credit card would work online. I bought a game that was completely different than what was described on the case and how I imagined it would play. It was one of the worst games I’ve ever played. I tried to take it back. I was told that they would not accept new games once they’d been opened. I had done this previously, and they had accepted a new, opened game. It is dishonest to change store policies randomly based on however workers are feeling at that point. All they would do was trade in the game. I got $15 in credit for a game that was $40 new. The gamestop pro membership or whatever has proven tricky, as I am having to merge 3 accounts because of not being able to change password or log into them, and recently purchased both the ps5 and Xbox series x. Still, not many other choices for games in a game store environment (I mean ordering online is a thing and Walmart or target, but the atmosphere there isn't very game oriented).
