On September 24th I checked into this property late. Due to my late check in, I requested for a late checkout. On September 25th I checked out late maybe about hour down the road I noticed my bag is not in my car. I called the property to inform them about my personal items I left in the room. She than informed me due to the item being a firearm the property management request her to call the Police department. Ok my wife have worked with Marriott for over 7 years. I'm very aware of policies that employees have to follow. My firearm was inside of my gun case which was inside of my shoulder bag. You would have never known what was inside of my bag unless you open my bag. Which that's the first violation. Than I was never contact about my items that was left. That's another violation. Which Katy whom called the police on me. Stated she contact me on the number that was on filed, which in her case was the wrong number. however when I booked my reservation I apply my address along with my correct cell number. No one called. I feel violated and I have not gotten any of my items back. I had money in my bag. No one seem to know what happened to my money. No one seem to know the housekeeper name whom went through my bag.. which Katy said she was looking for a contact number in my bag. As if I'm carrying around a copy of my number in my bag. Make this make sense. The housekeeper was trying to steal my bag. To find out inside the bag was my firmarm and she freaked out. Took what she wanted out my bag and informed Front desk which Katy, and stated there was a firmarm left in a guest room. This all have been my worst nightmare. I carry my firmarm with me due to how crazy things have gotten over the pass 2 years also I travel. With that being said my firmarm was given to me from my descent ex-wife. If you know the law you know how difficult it is to get my firmarm back due to it's not in my name. I lost something very special to me. I called the manager left multiple vms I called requesting for corporate number. Katy assist me with "reservation number". So that's tells me your staff is not properly trained. No one one helping me get my belongings back. I feel lost, disrespected, wrongful judged and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe second night of our stay was fine, but the first night was horrible! About 45 minutes after checking in (8:30 pm) another customer had been given the key to our room. Luckily I had the safety latch on. Then, about 30 minutes after that the front desk called (didn't identify themselves). She accused us of being in the wrong room and said we were going to be charged for 2 rooms since obviously someone else in our party was staying in the room she had given us on the 2nd floor. Had no idea what she was talking about since she was the one who gave us the keycard and room key sleeve with the room number on the 4th floor (where we were). She got really upset with me and said she was coming up to our room to see what was going on. About 30 minutes later (after I tried to call down to the front desk to verify she indeed worked at the hotel and we weren't being scammed someone...but no one answered) she knocked on our door. Once I identified her as the front desk person I opened the door and she look into our room. Then repeated herself from on the phone accusing us of occupying 2 rooms! I asked if she had checked the room on the 2nd floor (where she said we were supposed to be...even though she is the one who gave us the keycard for the 4th floor room). She stated she had not checked that room (which I thought would have been the logical thing to do since it was probably empty). She then left mad and irritated. We never received a call or anything to tell us that all was ok. My wife and I barely slept that night because she had gotten us so worked up! Spoke to front desk person the next morning (she was very nice). My wife asked to speak to a manager as we checked out. They were very busy so we gave our phone number and asked for a phone call. We didn't hear anything for a couple days so I called and left another voicemail. That was 2 weeks ago and still haven't heard anything. Horrible customer service (except for front desk person in the morning)! Will not stay at this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Winston-Salem Hanes Mall (1600 Westbrook Plaza Dr, Winston-Salem, NC 27103) the nights of November 24 and 25, 2022, 3rd-floor, room 333. On the morning of November 25, it took over 10 minutes for the shower water to get lukewarm hot, even though the water in the bathroom faucet became hot within minutes. At around 10:00 am, I spoke to the front desk person and inform him about the issue. He promised to send someone to the room and correct the problem. On the evening of November 25, upon returning to the hotel, I found that the room had not been cleaned or provided with new towels.Since the person managing the front desk did not answer the phone, I had to go to the lobby to address the issue. No explanation was given about the lack of service and the cold-water in the shower; aI was merely provided a new set of towels. The next morning, (November 25), once again only cold water was coming off the shower head, even though I let the water run for over 15 minutes. Upon checking out , the same person at the front desk completely ignored my complain even though it was the same person that had promised to fix the problem the day before. No excuse, no word of sympathy or apology was provided. He merely handed me a copy of the bill. OTHERS ARE REPORTING THE SAME ISSUE IN THIS HOTEL WITH LACK OF HOT WATER IN THE SHOWERS. WINTER IS HERE. UNLESS YOU ARE A PENGUIN, I WILL NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!!!!!!
I am literally incensed about the lack of service and courtesy; it is totally unacceptable that an issue such as the lack of hot water in the shower should be left uncorrected. I certainly will never again book rooms at that hotel, even though I am a Marriot Bonvoy Gold member. I will report the issue to the City of Winston-Salem, as it is apparent to me that this issue is occurring in other rooms. Thus, inappropriate water consumption is occurring, resulting in the loss of a precious...
