Extremely Disappointed: Red Robin's Quality Decline Has Cost Them a Loyal Customer
I'm sad to say that Red Robin, once a favorite restaurant of mine, has lost a loyal customer. Over the course of my last three visits, the quality of both the food and service has plummeted, and today's experience was the final straw.
Opting for curbside to-go this time, I was greeted by a friendly staff member who raised my hopes. However, my excitement quickly turned into disappointment. We ordered three burgers with fries and onion rings, anticipating a delicious meal after avoiding the restaurant for over a year due to a previous bad experience.
To my dismay, the fries we received were cold and hard right from the start, and it had nothing to do with the short drive home. I decided to try one while leaving the parking lot, and it was evident that they had been sitting there for quite some time. Frustrated, I didn't bother to complain, as I knew by the time they brought us new fries, our burgers would have turned cold. It's disheartening to think that I paid $50 for stale fries and lukewarm burgers.
Furthermore, I couldn't help but notice that the burgers didn't live up to my memories. Red Robin used to be known for their tasty burgers, but the recent decline in quality was evident. It's a shame when a once-beloved restaurant fails to maintain the standards that made it so popular.
Unfortunately, this disappointing experience wasn't an isolated incident. The previous two visits, one for dine-in and the other for curbside, were equally unsatisfactory. During the curbside experience, the burgers were burned and accompanied by the same cold, old fries. The dine-in visit was plagued by slow service and a prolonged wait for both the food and the staff's attention. What used to be a quick 45-minute lunch turned into a tedious hour and a half ordeal. We even gave up on receiving a refill for our fries after waiting for an excruciating 30 minutes. Our waitress disappeared and never returned, leaving us frustrated and neglected.
Red Robin has undoubtedly lost its touch, and I can no longer justify spending my time and money at a restaurant that consistently fails to meet my expectations. It's disheartening to see such a decline in quality and service, especially when compared to the restaurant's former glory days. Sadly, my family and I have made the decision to never return...
Read moreThis was my second time eating at a Red Robin but my first time at this location. The first red flag was that upon our arrival there was no hostess present. Her absence was long enough that we started to wonder if we were supposed to seat ourselves. A few minutes passed and finally she arrived. After being seated our server came by and asked for our drink orders. She placed plasticware on the table explaining that they were out of silverware, second red flag. As a restaurant that isn’t even open for breakfast there is no excuse for not having silverware. We decided to order. After waiting approximately 20 minutes for our food our server returned and asked us to repeat what we had ordered. Red flag number three. Another 10-15 minutes pass and my father and I were served our burgers. My mother’s food was nowhere in sight. The server asked if we needed anything else and my mom replied “my meal please.” The server left to “check” on my mothers meal. Several minutes later she returned and said they were working on her sandwich now. Many moments passed and still no food. So my mother asked another server where her food was and told her what it was that she ordered (a turkey blt or something) that server told us that the turkey was frozen but that they were working on it. Biggest red flag of all. Instead of offering my mom something to eat while she waited or if she’d like to order something else my mother was left sitting watching my father and I finish up our meal. Finally her sandwich arrived.. with the wrong side which the server didn’t even notice so my mom informed her of the mistake which took another 5/7 minutes to fix. I asked for a refill on fries that was never delivered. When the bill came we couldn’t believe our eyes that NOTHING was comped on the bill NOTHING. When my mom started to ask the server why nothing was taken off for our inconvenience the server walked away as if she had not heard my mom speaking to her at all. This will be our last visit at any Red Robin location. Food is not worth the price and definitely not worth the horrible server you must encounter along the way. If you’re looking for a good burger I suggest bad...
Read moreMy family and I went on 6/25/24 to celebrate my stepson birthday and it was a little bit before 9pm and they close at 10 and as soon as we got there the atmosphere felt rush from sitting down to our server Barbra we felt the rush for us to order food and drinks and when she brought out the drinks all of them fell off to my family pants and they were soaked wet, the manager Kim came out to apologize and stated dinner was on them to tonight which we appreciate it but the server Barbra was still in a bad mood even after what just encountered, she switched us to a different table because it was all wet from the table and sitting area and the floor and she moved my Stanley cup to the other table she sat us in. We were understanding of the accident and we decided to stay but just felt the rush and negative vibe from the server, we were the only family left to leave at closing and it was around 10:11pm and I realized as soon as I got home I forgot my Stanley cup at the restaurant so I called and Kim answered and said to call in the morning because the server had already left for the night, I called today 6/26/24 on three different occasions gracie and the Manager on duty this morning were trying to check if they had it and also called our server because she was off today and unfortunately they said they could not find it. I know for a fact I left it there and I feel that Barbra threw it away or took it with her because her energy was very negative, and I feel very upset that I don’t have it because that is my everyday water cup that I use because I am pregnant and it’s my only Stanley cup. I just wanted to write my experience and don’t plan to go back again. It’s very unfortunate that we experienced this and they were not able to check cameras or find...
