The Craftin' Loft — Attraction in Winston-Salem

What an amazing and affordable afternoon with the grandchildren! I happened upon this incredible little gem of a craft shop the week before Christmas when taking packages to the Winston Salem post office at Hanes Mall, where the Craftin' Loft is now located. The proprietor is a former preschool teacher, and her loving enthusiasm really shows. Tierney (chances are I spelled that wrong) shares their joy as the kids make crafts with her gentle and capable guidance. Like all the best teachers, her goal is to encourage and empower the kids. My three-year-old granddaughter had so much fun painting and bedazzling a wooden ornament that I came back two days later with her six and nine-year-old sisters! This patient teacher tuned in and connected with all three ages, and even had a basket of sensory objects to occupy our one year-old. The kids made a variety of Christmas ornaments, scented and colored candles, a custom key ring for mommy, a bracelet and a pair of earrings. Tierney has a real passion and a heart for kids and for crafts. An incredibly fun - and productive - afternoon with the grandkids who are now proud to have Christmas gifts to give mom and dad and siblings. So nice to have another option when they get tired of playgrounds and children's museums. We will be back!

Wow, Wow, Wow! We celebrated my daughter's 8th birthday party at The Craftin' Loft and all I can say is THIS IS A GEM OF A PLACE! Tierny was wonderful to work with - from my first interaction with her, where I stopped in to learn about the party packages offered, to helping me plan what crafts the children would make, her willingness to research the particular slime my daughter wanted to create (to ensure we could make it at the party!), as well as the party set up and especially the party/craft clean up! She handled it all! Tierny was very interactive with the children as they made their crafts, and she kept things very lively. Each child left with many memories of a fantastic time, and the best craft keepsakes, not to mention a goodie bag to boot! We had the best 8th...

Josh and Tier created an amazing experience with so many options of crafts to create. The space was bright and welcoming with each type of craft on display. They have multiple options that you can make and take with you, which was perfect since we were coming from out of town. It was hard to choose, but my mom and I ended up making custom colored, scented, and decorated candles with Josh's assistance. We are already planning another trip to try more experiences. Whether you want to make something you already know how to do or learn a new skill, I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a fun and creative activity!
