I frequently shop at Boscovs. It's nearby, the selection in most departments is varied enough to meet most tastes and budgets.
If you shop online, for items that are stocked in the physical stores, you have the option to pick it up from a local store near you.
I do have a bone to pick about the online experience. It isn't optimally set up for mobile devices. Sometimes tapping an item or field is unresponsive. Additionally, should you wish to save something to a "wish list" or registry you are required to set up an account on a different, but linked website with a different Log-on ID and password.
Hence, if you anticipate saving something or buying something you saved, then you have to log-on twice. First you log-on to Boscov's website then to access your own wish list, you have to log-on to the website where your wish list resides. Inconvenient and annoying.
It may be different at other branches. At the Woodbridge NJ store, you would think you can pick up items you bought on boscovs.com at Customer Pick-up. No!
Online purchases need to be picked up at customer service, which is across at a different part of the store. Fortunately, for me I came on a weekday at a time when the store wasn't busy. I didn't stand on line to reach the customer pick up window and then be politely told to go to customer service.
Customer Pick up is reserved for oversize items and courtesy holds of in-store purchases made that day while the buyer shops for additional things in Boscovs or elsewhere in Woodbridge Center.
Some basic signage directing the online shopper to Customer Service for boscovs.com purchases pick up shouldn't cost too much to put up. It would avoid confusion and aggravation when the store busy and customers have to stand on a line for service. Especially during the Holidays shopping season.
There is a Women's Restroom, a Men's Restroom and a Unisex Restroom for one person at a time. Both Men's and Women's have Wheelchair accessable stalls. There is a changing table in the Unisex. I am not sure about Men's and Women's Restrooms having a changing table.
There is one inconvenience about the restrooms. They are only on located on the second floor. There aren't any public restrooms on the first floor. However, the facilities on the second floor are very close to the up escalator.
There's one outdoor entrance at the second floor and North and South entrances on the first floor. Outside parking is available near all three entrances. The only time it is difficult to find a spot to park is during Holidays Season, mostly closer to Christmas.
Despite aforementioned mentioned inconveniences, Boscovs is a great place to shop. A majority of the employees are knowledgeable, courteous...
Read moreOn December 29th arrived at Boscov's in Woodbridge NJ there is a very disrespectful employee in the men's department in not going to say his name, but wow how he talks to customers was very ugly. As I walked in the doors are open to the public but when I went half way to find a sweater he said to me well I hope you know we are closed an you and the woman your with need to get on out of here. I told him he need to know how to talk to people due to im a paying customer as well your a very disrespectful employee. I asked for his name. As I drove to the Customer service department I asked one of the employees I would like to talk to the manager on the floor. As I was waiting for him to come to me to have a discussion about his employee. The other employee thought it was a joke came next to me not knowing he is in my space not following the 6 feet distance and said if I needed help as he New it was me from downstairs this employee thinks its a joke to come and start a problem with a customer. This employee doesn't have no respect nor he has the since to keep his mouth shut just to start a problem. I told him to back away from me before he has a problem entering my space next to my ear. He walked to punch out then he laughed on his way. I talked to the Manager to let him know how disrespectful his employee was as well Boscov's will not tolerate employee that talk that way due to I could talk my business some were else. With other big name brands companies would love due to this Covied. The store manager was very understanding as well he said he well talk to his employee about it. I tell I will not go there again I would not recommend no one to shop at this Boscov's in Woodbridge. I would tell you to find another Boscov's store but not this one. Due to employee need to know how to talk to people as well he needs to have some respect which I think he has none. Employees like him will bring a company down with its name. As well you have to remember that its always to pass good judgment when an employee does there job, because you need the customers if not you could have your self a grand closing. This employee needs to know we live in a different world today and that is not the way to go. But I wish this Boscov's store the best of luck but ill take my hard earned money...
Read moreWe were there yesterday. All products are good but we had terrible experience with cashier whose name is Julio. I really wanna return all products bought from the store. We all deserve to be treated good not terrible treatment. Starting from first incident he asked my husbands date of birth to use some reward points my husband replied as 15th june 1987. The cashier reacted on him with his loud voice saying that there is no 15 months. Obviously we all know that there is no 15 months. He is a good teacher for daycare or kindergarten not with customer please. We are buying products from your store and we are not there to get education from you. And we all say 4th July it doesn’t mean 4th is the month. So my husband decided not to use reward points worth of 50$ and we pay all. Second incident - we got kid’s Winter Jacket for my daughter that jacket doesn’t have tag on. He said with his loud voice saying that it doesn’t have tag on this so I can’t scan it. I have to check with my team to check for the price. My husband said okay you can check with them. He immediately said no it will take another 30 mins to check with them. So my husband said okay I will bring another same Jacket so that you can scan so he put away that jacket away. After this transaction done my husband went back to get that winter jacket and came. He said terrible word to him which is so bad. We all deserve to be treated good as human being. Third incident he said that it is different one so we got whatever we had on our hands. He didn’t help us. He was showing hate face on us and frustrated. I thought that he is frustrated might be it’s Black Friday so he might have working long hours. The moment I think that way he was so nice to another coworker meaning aren’t we deserve to be treated as human being???. Aren’t we????. I like your products but sorry we deserve to be treated as human beings so I will return everything back to you guys by...
