I rarely leave reviews, especially negative ones, but in the spirit of warning would-be customers and improving the establishment's way of doing business, here goes.
I took my car to Firestone Woodbridge 3 times. The first time was good. Second time left my engine in a bad spot and I took my car elsewhere. Third time, they installed a replacement tire valve, but didn't repair the rim and the valve was letting air out. I got a flat a few days afterwards.
Why didn't I go back, even though the tire is under warranty and I can/should get a replacement tire?
Lack of trust.
I don't trust them any more. They might respond to this post and give the cursory, "We're sorry to hear..." response, but instead of responding, please listen. Below are constructive criticisms:
Tell your guys to be thorough. Have quality control and a checklist. Have a system of checks & balances (i.e. a supervisor should check the work & interrogate the mechanic actually doing the work -- "Did you check this? Did you check that? What about this? Ah, but you missed that).
I know this is hard to do consistently, on every job, day in and day out, and for every customer. But this is the price of excellence, and the difference between a good review and a bad one.
And if their response is "We do have QC, checklists, and supervisor checks," then see the attached photo—this is what happened just days after the repair.
For my engine repair and tire replacement, I went to Hyundai Auto Repair in Edison. The address is 1808 Woodbridge Ave, Edison, NJ 08817. It's a local shop. I highly recommend them. The owner is responsive, honest, and efficient.
Firestone Woodbridge, good luck. I know running a business is difficult, maintaining quality is hard, and keeping all customers happy is impossible. But it's the work of a lifetime - so I have no doubt you...
Read moreI have been a regular customer at Firestone over the years across multiple states in the US. Overall, I find them a bit expensive but I have been reasonably satisfied with the service. However, yesterday's visit was the worst! The technician at Firestone Woodbridge drive was utterly disrespectful.
Within 20 mins of dropping off the car, I was told my battery needs replacement, my break pads need replacement, all oil and air filters need replacement, I need to rebalance and align all my wheels, etc. etc. with a quotation well over a 1000$. While some of the findings may be genuine, when I asked which ones I can probably live with another 3-4 months (until my next routine maintenance), I was asked "why I was even there if I didn't want to spend any money". I insisted on them doing just the inspection so I can get a second opinion on the findings.
Upon dropping off the car, I called several times to check the status of my car but was continuously put on hold. Firestone charged me for a full inspection of my car. When asked for a checklist or inspection report, I was handed over an empty checklist with just the technician's signature at the bottom of page. I was told that was just a copy and that the original checklist was "fully filled but lost". When asked why I was put on long holds over the phone, the person at the front desk said they were having a very busy day while I did not see any other customer both times I was there on the day. It was a weekday morning and they initially also accepted to service my car without a prior appointment.
I thought the team was extremely unprofessional and did not care for business and customer service. My last...

My husband and I took both our vehicles to the Firestone Woodbridge location yesterday morning for wheel alignment. My husband has the lifetime alignment and advised me to do the same. I bought the lifetime alignment. The vehicle when done, I drove it home and as I was driving on the highway the car was not going straight at all. It was even worse than when I handed it to them that I panicked and I couldn’t drive it and my husband had to come take me and drive it to back to the location. The person that was helping us said they will look at it again. I left the place and took it on the highway and it was still bad same as when I gave it to them. I am regretting buying the lifetime deal. Why do I care about having this membership if the place is not doing an honest excellent job.
We were also told that there is a “weird sound” coming from the vehicle and they need to inspect it for $10 then when we took it back they claimed that we took it somewhere and the noise is gone.
I also asked for tire check and a print out of the measurements and I never got either and I was advised that it needs changing in 2nd week of January with no proof that this change is require
My husbands vehicle they weren’t able to do the alignment in the back because ”it’s frozen”. We took it somewhere and they were able to do it no problem. Worst location ever and customer service is terrible. This lifetime alignment is a scam. They just get you to pay more and then tell you they...
