THE WORST customer service ever! Tonight's trip to the Home Depot will be my last. Things have slowly gone downhill over the past several years, and I think they finally hit rock bottom. I spent at least an hour standing in the lumber aisle waiting for someone to rip a few sheets of plywood for me. I had the lumber associate paged 3 times, 15 minutes apart (which of course meant wandering around for 5-10 minutes each time to actually find someone to page the guy). Finally I see another employee wandering past the aisle, bopping along listening to his headphones. I wave my arms to grab his attention. I asked him if he was in lumber, and he said yes. I asked him where he'd been, that I had him paged 3 times, and he said he just heard the page and was on his way. Yeah, ok...if he got the page, he would have been walking down the aisle I was in, not wandering past it. This isn't an isolated incident. This is every time I go into Home Depot lately, especially the one in Colonia. If I need help with something, I spend more time wandering around the store trying to find somebody, and then way more time trying to get to the right person to help than it takes to actually finish my project once I get home and get to work. I spend way too much money on home repairs and projects in their store to deal with this. The only thing Home Depot has over specialty stores (nursery, lumber yard, etc.) is that they have everything under one roof. But if I spend more time wandering around the store in frustration than I would driving to 5 different places with better service to get what I need, then what's the point? They used to have a better selection than other places, but now every time I go there, they're out of stock on what I'm looking for and tell me to buy from their website. If I'm going to buy from a website, I may as well just hit up Amazon for what can be shipped. This is also regarding their customer service. We placed a rental order after ida, and the next morning we were called and told they were flooded, and everything is destroyed and they need to cancel our rental. Ok, we can understand that. Then 20+ days later, they charged us the whole amount of rental deposit. I tried to call the customer service line, was told to call their credit card service line or homedepot online. So I did, and a frustrating amount of "if you need to...dial this" later, was told they don't know how to do anything, because it's not a homedepot card. So I call back the store, this time customer service manager angrily told me they can't pull up anything to help me, I should call my bank, like my bank will know why HomeDepot charge me. As I asked if she can find out why I was charged , she hang up on me. Yeah, I wasn't even on the phone for more than 5 minutes, and she hung up on me like I wasted her time trying to get money back the store mistakenly charged.
I contacted tool rental 3 times, and was told they see the rental and charge, but can only be refunded if the supervisor is there. Fingers crossed that I can get him maybe tomorrow. Though the tool rental guys were very nice, apologetic and offered actual help.

Again I had to go to the same store to finally pick up the kitchen cabinets But this time another manager attended me and he was worried about the situation that previously I had left empty-handed, he did not let me go from there until I found all the materials, if they are disorganized, but this manager went the extra mile together with the young lady who attended me at the cash register, I don't remember her name, but the two of them make a good team. Also two other employees who worked there .They also worked hard together with the manager to find all over the store the things that were mine to take with me that day, .. The system said they were there but they couldn't find it .They did a major effortto fix what others co workers made them hard time because they wasn't organized. . So here is the information, you make your decision if you go to that store again or not. I advise you to look for Rufino Da Silva ... he will help you 100% This is the manager who looking for everything with his team...
