Extremely Disappointing Experience at Chipotle Avenel, NJ – Unprofessional Staff Chipotle Management,
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the service my wife and I received at your new Avenel, NJ location. My experience was absolutely unacceptable and I feel compelled to share my frustration regarding the unprofessional conduct of your staff, particularly an assistant manager named Jorge and the store manager, Elizabeth.
During my visit, I was subjected to incredibly rude and condescending behavior from Jorge, who introduced himself as the assistant manager. I simply asked for white rice, and his response was not only dismissive but also insulting. He insisted that the brown rice was made the same way as the white rice and tasted the same. When I explained that I preferred white rice, he told me I would need to wait over 20 minutes for it to be made. This was after already waiting for 10 minutes in line.
I asked to speak with the store manager, and that’s when I met Elizabeth, who repeated the same dismissive response and confirmed that I would need to wait for 20+ minutes if I wanted white rice. Her complete lack of customer service skills only added to the frustration.
Both my wife and I were extremely upset by the way we were treated, and we left the store hungry and furious. This experience has left us with no intention of returning to any Chipotle location unless the behavior of Jorge and Elizabeth is addressed. The unprofessionalism we encountered at this store is completely unacceptable and tarnished our entire view of your brand.

Crazy how this place is new and failing so badly. Chipotle the company can care less about your experience they are just slinging out food no consistency. The commercial is BS looks like a full plate regular serving and imagine what it’s supposed to be like when you ask for double protein. I received a half plate I’m not even exaggerating a little bit. I will be going back to raise hell but never eating there again. Read moreI arrived at 1043 , doors were open do i walked in, girl at the counter told me to get out they weren't open they open at 1045. Okay ill ignore the fact that one of them opened the door. I walk outside for 30 seconds then go back in.
Workers are clearly not ready, touching stuff with no gloves, and overall just letting em stand there. No one addressed me I just stood there for 15 minutes.
Dude comes in so now a lines forming and they make my order
But wait ! They have to make the guy behinds me order, they cant just check me out
But wait ! They also need to make the person behind that person who just arrived.
Id been waiting for 15 minutes already as the first person in line , just ring it up.
After making the other person's order finally, the employee of the month, comes up and says she needs a few minutes to set up the register.
Franchise owner should be disgusted, id have to recommend any of the other local spots, look at these reviews this place is awful
