My favorite part of Gala Foods has always been the deli — truly one of the best in all of Worcester (and I say that as a former deli worker!). Their sandwiches are made with love and precision, bursting with flavor and generosity.

I especially want to recognize Alfred, one of the deli staff members, who consistently went above and beyond. His kindness, humor, and genuine attentiveness turned an ordinary lunch stop into something special. He treated us not just like customers, but like guests, and you could tell he takes pride in making food that touches people’s hearts.

What stands out most about Gala Foods is the culture of care that shines through every person there. The whole team radiates friendliness and sincerity — it’s clear that leadership has created an environment where people love what they do and love who they work with. The price for meats and the quality is very good. It's the best place to find the hispanic items needed for latin cooking. In addition, they have a small cafeteria and tables where you can sit and enjoy lunch like rice, beans, pork, chicken, mangú, etc. The main reason why I only give them 3 stars is because their facilities are in very bad shape. The ramp to go in and out the parking lot needs immediate attention. It's a struggle to move the cart full of groceries down that ramp and into your car. I'm still waiting for one of the clerks to say Hello Goodbye hola or adios you can put your food on the Belt they say nothing you pay they say nothing you say hello they say nothing you say hola they say nothing. If not for the two things I need every so often I would never go there and that's just because of the poor customer service from the clerks really bad just the worst next to Walmart. I'd love to buy more but I'm so turned off by the customer service I can only bear to get the two items I get that I can't find anywhere else and as soon as I can find them somewhere else I won't be going back toGala for nothing...
