I took my very first class with Technocopia, the instructor was Norela. The class was on the Full Spectrum Laser cutter. Norela, took the time to explain every aspect of the device as well as showing me how to operate the machine. She had very good instructions put together that I am able to keep and bring back with me each time that I go and use the machine. She set up a materials test so that you could easily complete a test cut and start to determine what the best settings will be for your project. The class was not about the software but she took the time to go over with me the tools in the software and how I might be able to use them in the future. I look forward to taking more classes with her in the near future. My next class will either be on The Muse laser cutter or on the software, depending on which one is available first. I highly recommend that you look for her classes and don’t be shy about signing up for them. She is very good and very patient. Everyone should check out Technocopia, by taking their classes you get certified to use the machines. They have a vast amount of equipment to get certified on. Again this is my very first class with them and I highly recommend taking the time to understand what they...

Read moreI've been at multiple "Maker-Spaces", and this one's got them beat by a MILE! Not only is it well equipped and maintained, the staff (mostly volunteers) are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The facility itself is spacious and super usable with tables and benches aplenty. Here, the maker/entrepreneur/hobbyist/student will find a huge array of machines, ranging from woodworking to cnc to 3d printers, laser and plasma cutters and much more. The monthly fee is a bit higher than what I've seen elsewhere, but given what's here, it's well worth it for the right person. A strong...
