Nice new recliners yet needs to upgrade to Dolby & 4K video as pixels & resolution is very poor and outdated. Movies go away too fast especially only being opened Thursday - Sunday! 🥴Fairly new female Manager best One so far but employees need to remember who’s enrolled as they tried to charge us regular price and we are there regularly. One employee actually accused us of bringing food in as he saw an empty dorito bag in my wife’s casino lunch bag she had her medications in she needed to take before watching movie and we were buying soft drink for her to take it with . Usually go get seat first then come back out to get concessions if we get any at all other than a drink. Depends on if we eat first right before the movie as we may be full. Nevertheless, some of them need to be more respectful to their elders and remember who is enrolled and not assume we are all tourists just because you don’t know us but also all people should be respected whether tourist or local.
One movie we saw last week, “NoHard Feelings” which was a comedy action movie had horrible previews and one was a long infomercial about ‘eating disorders’ which was very triggering for our guest’s son as he attempted suicide & had a severe eating disorder so shocked to see that instead of movies previews ...👎🏻🥺 It was rather shocking to see that before a movie that people pay to forget about things like that & VERY disturbing & HIGHLY inappropriate to show before a movie.not sure if it was attached to the movie or Universal,MGM etc did it or whoever they got the movie from when distributed ...but not cool at all. Not then, not there in a movie....🥤🍚🌭📞📽where people go for entertainment & to get away from all the stresses in life not watch an ad...

Terrible overall movie-going experience - that's if you even get to see a film.
During my most recent trip (8/30/19) we walked in to the main lobby - the box office is perpetually closed - and paid for our tickets at the consession counter. Their "tickets" are simple paper receipts. No other showtime were visible anywhere. Guess you have to look them up yourself! No bright and flashy lights or colorful carpets anywhere in the lobby. Very dull atmosphere. We walked back to our screen. There was the rare ticket attendant but he didn't actually rip your ticket, just said which screen your film was on. We walk in the room and it's pitch black. We were in fact 5 minutes late so previews should have been showing and lights should have been up to guide in moving around. Nope! We sat for a few minutes and nothing happened. Finally we had to walk out and inform a worker that our screen was empty. Most theaters have someone monitoring screenings to ensure proper playback of the film with in-focus projectors, proper colors and such. Evidently not this theater! We had to tell them. Eventually they said there was an issue and offered us the opportunity to switch rooms to another film or new tickets for a later showtime. We instead demanded refunds which they...
Read moreI love this theater & my boyfriend & I come here very often. However, the last few times I’ve been has been the WORST movie experiences of my life. This past weekend we went to see insidious, a PG-13 terrifying horror movie, the 7:30 showing on Sunday. There was a FOUR year old sitting next to me playing on her moms phone the entire time. Half of the people in the theater were kids. I could not enjoy the movie because of all of the distractions from the children. Same thing happened when Beast came out. Rated R movie we went to the last showing of the day in hopes to avoid the kids. Nope. There was a HUGE group of 10-14 year olds who ruined the entire movie. Screaming, talking way too loud, etc. where I grew up, the theaters had a rule that if you were under the age of 18 you could not go see any rated R movie if it was the last showing. You could go during the day but not the last showing. This allowed the adults to have their date night without it being ruined by children. But the children could still come see the movie earlier in the day if their parents allowed. I think this would be a great rule to implement at the Cherokee Cinemas as is it getting to become a very...
