Jas Nail Spa — Attraction in Yuba City

Honest review from someone who really wanted to love this place.

After reading the raving reviews, I came in for a simple acrylic fill. I let them know that my current set was done at another salon and that I just wanted a pink overlay with French tips. From the start, communication was minimal; I sat waiting for a while.

Once a technician finally started, it quickly became clear they weren’t comfortable working with the existing acrylic. After some confusion, I decided to skip the fill altogether and just soak off the set. Instead of moving forward with a proper soak, the tech attempted to pry the nails off until I stopped him and asked for a soak off, then continued to file aggressively. One of my natural nails cracked in the process from the Dremel tool. The whole experience felt rushed, stressful, and uncomfortable.

All in all, it took over an hour just to soak off my nails and leave. Most of that time was spent waiting around, dealing with miscommunication, and going through a stressful and drawn-out removal process

I still paid and tipped out of courtesy, but I won’t...

Went in to get my nails done after quite a long time of not doing so. The gentleman that helped me was so sweet and boy did he try his hardest but they just didn’t come out quite right. Either way I still felt like the price I paid was fair given how hard he tried so initially I didn’t say anything. However I remembered upon leaving that day a really sweet woman said if I had any issues don’t hesitate to come back. I went back today and voiced my concerns regarding the nails and I was met with the most professionalism I’ve ever received from a nail establishment. Apologies, as well as sir here let me fix them for you. The sweet woman who said to come back, Nay nay, went above and beyond completely redoing my set free of charge. Still denying a tip even though she very well deserved it. Just because of nay nay alone I will come back. The ambiance and the kind nature of the staff is definitely an added bonus! I will recommend this pace to all of my family...

I got my toes done for the first time in years. They weren’t pretty as I have really only gone for special occasions and I only cut my toe nails on my own at home. Anyways, they were very nice and the guy who did my nails was very very gentle as I know my toes/nails are kinda awkwardly tiny. I will be back! Edit: *disclaimer I know I have the ugliest feet. I’m sorry. it was a 5 star but to a changed to a 2 star. I had a good initial experience. But I spent 75$ total; my nails polish on both pinky toes came off literally the next day. I’m upset because I was excited to start a new thing for myself but I probably won’t wait money on this again for a long time...
