Read moreHere’s my personal thought about the Da Lat Night Market as a “local” Vietnamese. It is utterly, extremely, quite literally crowded. You don’t understand the crowd until you get here, even I was lowkey shocked. It is so crowded that I didn’t have the opportunity and bravery to put up my phone to take a photo of it. The famous stair-looking path at the market is full of people sitting on top of it that you can’t even get through.
Foreigners might come here for the foods and the other stuff they sell probably? But honestly not worth the crowd in my opinion. As always, the stalls at the back of the market would be obviously cheaper than at the front.
If you come to Dalat to try the famous Dalat bánh tráng nướng aka Vietnamese pizza, then you definitely shouldn’t get it on here, rather, consult to Google and find out the actual famous banh trang nuong stall in Dalat. The banh trang nuong they have here can be unclean to eat - they use their dirty fabric gloves to pick up the food and whisk the egg mixture inside a cup, which you can’t tell if the eggs they mixed up are spoiled or not.
Also there are these random “local Dalat snack shops” all over the market that you shouldn’t buy from because they’re just overpriced stuff obviously.
My review sounds negative because I was being quite literal about the actual experience at the market. I didn’t buy anything from it though so just keep that it mind. It, overall, still has a very cool night market experience and would recommend to check it our, don’t buy anything expensive here or expect them to be...
