When the Grab driver turn to a small and rough lane, I was taken a back and felt better after seeing the well maintain signage but disappointed because the lobby Wooden structure and panels was not properly maintained, projecting a rustic look. Check - In was at 1400hrs and was accompanied by Mr Hien whom is very courteous, the room was tastefully decorated and clean facing the Seaview (that’s mean it will be hot during the day). Upon inspecting the room (which I normally do upon check-In), we noticed the Bathtub spray knob and easily come off and the toilet exhaust fan is not functioning thus it will be warm when you take a shower. We informed Mr Hien of the issues and he wanted to call his technician which I told him it is not necessary because I will be staying for 2 nights only and do not like the idea of changing room and the Toilet accessories was well provided. Buffet Breakfast was at a Rustic restaurant facing the sea (for your info Butter is not provided only jam) and the restaurant is closed for lunch and dinner so we cross the road and into a lane to dine at Tuna Restaurant which is reasonably in price, good quality food, well-presented and warm service. We packed the unfinished food and left it on the counter above the fridge in our room and was disappointed at later stage to see Ants crawling all over the food. The WORST Experience is having to tolerate at least 4 knocking per minute come from the Air Condition unit throughout the day and night. The only good experience is we are staying near several Minimart, Restaurant and Tour agency.

Booked for 2 nights. The moment we arrived, you could instantly tell that the floors weren’t clean, stains all over the beds and stains on the floor (orange coloured puddle which I assume was vomit). I noticed ants crawling over the beds and crawling all throughout the bathroom and at one point ants began to crawl on me while I was laying down. Called reception and were told they’d send someone to our room. After being told to wait 10 minutes No one came up until 20-30mins. Went down to reception where left unattended and waited another 10mins. Finally, when the receptionist heard the problem he followed us to our room and again told us to wait another 10mins before he came to check the room. We waited 15-20mins where he didn’t even bother to check the room and we were finally able change rooms. It was about 11:30pm at this point and we checked in around 9:30pm. Shortly after, the key card had stopped working and we were locked out of our room. We then had to go back down to the reception to be let in. The next morning we went to eat breakfast and as we crossed the bridge there was a foul stench coming from the sewage and the pollution that could be seen from the bridge and balcony. Overall, it was not a great experience especially after a long day of travelling. This was a disappointing experience as you’d expect a clean room without bugs. Don’t stay here.

Literally the worst experience, please do yourselves a favor and avoid this place. Your hard earned cash is better spent elsewhere. We booked it through an agency and all the photos you see on this website are not recent. It was like a huge scam because all the commodities were not available and the place is undergoing CONSTRUCTION. Customer service level was terrible, it felt as though the employees lacked the proper training and professionalism to fulfill guest needs. What was said was not delivered. For example, I upgraded to a VIP room (no champagne bottle or any benefits, just a bigger room) and one of the TV wasn't working and the bathroom window was tightly shut and couldn't be open. Upon calling the receptionist, it was promised that they'll come up and get it fixed asap. Next thing you know, I had to call back to find out that the guy completely forgot about it and when he finally came up, he couldn't fix it and said there was nothing he could do. Please save yourself the trouble and check out other resorts nearby, you've been warned. See my recent photos from Oct 2022.

⭐ 1-star Google Review for The Palmy Phu Quoc As a professional tour guide, I brought a group of 20 guests to The Palmy on June 19. What should’ve been a smooth check-in turned into one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a hotel. The front desk lady, around 40 years old, was extremely rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. She refused to assist my guests, claimed she didn’t work with me because I was "only the tour guide", and even told security to escort me out of the hotel lobby. Her exact words included: > “You’re not staying here, so I don’t have to deal with you.” “You’re being unreasonable.” “As long as you’re standing here, I won't help your guests.” I clearly asked for a formal apology from the hotel. 6 days later – nothing. Not a single word of follow-up or accountability. If you’re a traveler or part of a tour group: stay away from this hotel. If you’re a travel agency or tour leader: think twice before partnering with The Palmy. Hospitality should start with respect. Unfortunately, this hotel has none.

Avoid this please if you wan to have a nice holiday stay. Spent three nights there in three different rooms with friends over the independence public holiday weekend beginning of September. When we arrived we were shocked because the hole place seemed just opened after a 2 years corona sleep. Everything was completely dirty in this place, even the room floors werent cleaned before check in. From 3 pools only one was accessible. The Restaurant pool was used by locals for night swimming because there was no security at all. Breakfast buffet is under average. Beach access while waves not possible, only over a dangerous ladder. As a plus you can enjoy heavy construction noise from the neighbour Palmy 3 for the next months. How can the hotel management sell rooms if the place is not ready for any guests, worst stay in Phu Quoc ever! Better book beach bungalows like at Nhat Lan, Zen or Visa Loca Resort. Even Phuong Binh House is better price value and none of them have 4*

The resort has two pools for guests to enjoy - one located near the hotel apartments and the other at the dining area. Having two pools gives guests more options for swimming and lounging, and having one pool located near the hotel apartments is convenient for guests who may not want to venture too far from their accommodations. The pool in the dining area is also a nice touch as it allows guests to enjoy the water while they dine or have a drink. And, of course, having a beach right in front of the dining area is a fantastic feature as it provides easy access to the water and beautiful views for guests. During our stay, we enjoyed our morning walks along the beach and watching the beautiful sunsets in the evening. It was a peaceful and serene experience that made our stay even more memorable. There are also other nearby hotels in the area such as Dusit Princess Moonrise, Anja Resort, and Salinda Resort.
