"My husband and I cannot stop talking about how wonderful our stay was at the Salinda Resort. From the moment we arrived at the airport in Phu Quoc, the driver from Salinda was waiting to escort us to the resort. He was easy to spot with the purple sign with our names, and very friendly and professional. Once we arrived, the staff greeted us with smiles, showing us through the beautiful lobby into the ballroom for an assortment of delicious and refreshing fruit drinks. We were shown to our room and our suitcases were brought up shortly after. Our room was beautiful, with a lush treetop view on our balcony, complimentary sweet snacks upon arrival, endless tea/coffee to make, a huge comfortable bed, and spacious restroom with an awesome shower. The housekeeping staff cleaned up each day, but only replaced linens/towels when we requested to save water and energy. The design of the entire resort is absolutely stunning and we enjoyed the sustainable choices and reusable materials throughout the resort, including the bamboo room key, refillable water bottles with fresh clean drinking water each day, refillable toiletry containers for shampoo, soap, etc. and much more. Even the delicious passion fruit cocktails we had throughout our stay were served in coconut shells and with bamboo straws!
We enjoyed the outside morning yoga classes that were offered as a great way to start the day, and the staff even allowed us to use two mats to practice yoga ourselves on the lawn on the days class was not offered (I'm a yoga instructor). The breakfast buffet was fantastic, filled with delicious fresh fruit, complimentary coffee/tea, and so many options to explore each day- always while listening to the amazing pianist play musical masterpieces! The staff at the pool/beach area work SO HARD every day and always have a smile on their faces, ready to help anyone with anything they might need. We usually relaxed by the pool in the morning and then headed to the beach to walk or swim later on. The sunsets were so gorgeous, and we even enjoyed paddle boarding in the ocean to enjoy the sunset one evening. The lunch/dinner food was incredible, both at the main restaurant and the Italian restaurant, and we enjoyed listening to the excellent band play in the ballroom while enjoying a nightcap before bed in the evening.
Right across the street from the resort you can find laundromats, convenience stores, many restaurants, and an awesome bespoke cocktail bar called Bittersweet & Co. A short cab ride in to town is worth a visit to the night market "Cho Dem". We didn't explore much more of the island because the resort, pool, and beach was just so peaceful and relaxing. The library has books in almost every language, and hey have two Billiard pool tables, a spa, and a small gym (we didn't use the spa or gym).
The respect the resort shows to nature is evident in the design and every single staff was so helpful, friendly, and hard working. It was simply paradise and very romantic. We cannot recommend this resort enough and are telling everyone we know to book a stay at Salinda! Cám ơn (Thank you), to all of the Salinda...
Read moreI would like to thank you Salinda and everyone there for "little miracles" making a complete holiday for my family.
Same as in my first time here, the warm and heartfelt welcome of both management and staff here is so noticeable and sincere which you don't see much in anywhere.
My first impression returning here after 2 yrs is a whole green and cool atmosphere with lots of plants, grass, flowers and water. Long winding patches of violet flowers, while blossoms standing out of the very green and clean bushes, tropical trees full of little fruits along the paths to the bungalows...show a careful gardening of Salinda staff. I don't want to talk about all wonderful and special details and stories made Salinda into such a premium and amazing place like this as I've wrote about it in my first review and my return with all big family says the best for this.
One of Salinda impressive points is the breakfast. It can be said that hardly any other 5* hotels/resorts in Vietnam rival Salinda in breakfast in terms of delicacy, variety, and fineness with lots of spices, pastes, cheese, breads, meats, cakes, fruit, special fruit and milk shakes, especially fresh bread coming right from the in-house bakery and the open kitchen offering guests an excitement of a professionalism and culinary here. Even the spice containers are classy and fine. I love the careful attention of details everywhere in Salinda, showing an utmost respect to its guests. We also had this impression for our dinner and lunch the next days. Not mention to very tasty and special sauces, all the dishes here from Vietnamese cuisine to Italian and Indian cuisines are amazing, not less delicious than the premium real local food I had in Italy and India! And for Vietnamese food, of course I can easily tell!
Like other 5* resorts, Salinda has live music, but not just one band, there are two Filipino bands here in the restaurant and lobby lounge, so music spreading Salinda.
What I really like here is you can find relaxation corners everywhere in the middle of the green nature from the "open rooms" covered with plants and flowers on the grass, to "lovers' bird nests" and 100% wooden tea house with artful sculptures.
And what really impressed my family (and I believe other guests as well) is a perfect service! The staff are very friendly and attentive of every single needs of the guests. They even noted our flight schedules and automatically arranged the airport transfer and put a nice note in our rooms. And to show their utmost care of the guests, they willingly offered us late check out when the rooms were available not even letting us asking for a favor! Unbelievable!!
Before we left, the room service brought us a lovely teddy black dog, a typical and famous dog in Phu Quoc island. This is a wonderful souvenir reminding us of a lovely time in Salinda!
We will definitely come back to Phu Quoc but just for Salinda as I love it here and willing to recommend to any of my friends visiting Phu...
Read moreA month ago I decided that I wanted to spend my 30th birthday on Phu Quoc island with my wife in this hotel and.. it was a GREAT choice! We had the most magical time. I highly recommend this hotel. This is definitely the highest quality. We also had the opportunity to stay in another hotel in Phu Quoc, which had similar reviews, but we ran away from it to come here a day earlier. The hotels had very similar ratings on various websites, but they were completely different. Salinda beats every competition! The rooms here are clean and well-kept. Every evening they are visited a second time by the staff who freshen the towels, ensure that everything is OK and bring you tea for sleep, or other treats. It's a really nice gesture and shows the class of the hotel. However, the highest quality is excellent service. We highly appreciated it every time - it's worth it! Everyone is helpful and smiling, which was improtant to us. You don't have to wait for anything - you are served immediately. Also, nothing was impossible - every modification we asked for was taken into account. The food is DELICIOUS. Excellent quality products, fresh and delicious seafood (we recommend lobster and tiger shrimp), as well as excellent drinks and freshly squeezed juices. I know you can eat outside of the hotel, but the quality served in the hotel can't be omitted. We have never eaten outside of the hotel - it was so good that we wanted to try everything in every restaurant!! We had the opportunity to sleep one day at Premium Deluxe Garden View (we escaped from the previous hotel and this one was the only free for 1 day), but we spent the entire week's stay at Garden Villa. Both rooms were very well-kept, but we recommend Garden Villa more - a huge bed, a large bathroom with 2 sinks and an iron are necessary amenities. Sleeping in such an apartment is a pleasure. This place has no flaws. Really, we haven't found any, and we are very picky customers. I would also like to thank especially Mrs. Hồng Hường, who took special care of us and made sure that the attractions we chose were prepared at the highest level. She is a fantastic, warm person. She never had a problem with our comments and met our expectations at 110%. We also highly recommend cooking lessons! They were so fantastic that we did it twice! Once for Vietnamese cuisine and other one for the Indian cuisine. Professionally prepared chefs, beautiful garden surroundings, and at the opportunity to watch the recording and photos from the lesson. A wonderful experience! Thank you very much to chefs Liladhar, Tam and Tan Anh for a lot of patience and great cooking lessons. You are the best! Of course, the entire crew also provided excellent service. We were very pleased when we were recognized and our choices and plans were remembered. Every single person was top class. Perfect resort. I recommend highly!!! You must visit this place while visiting Phu Quoc. Worth every dime. Thank you very much for your care,...
