Here’s a well-rounded review of Dusit Princess Moonrise Beach Resort, based on guest feedback from multiple platforms:
⸻
⭐️ Highlights • Infinity pool & beachfront: A favorite spot, especially stunning at sunset, with a swim-up pool bar and ocean views . • Outstanding staff & service: Visitors frequently praise the friendly, attentive team (names like My, Jenny, Nam Le mentioned by name) for going above and beyond . • Cleanliness & modern design: Most note spotless rooms, well-kept beach and pool areas, and stylish interiors . • Comfortable rooms and beds: Many guests appreciated the spacious rooms, cozy beds, and sizeable balconies with ocean or garden views . • Great breakfast & dining variety: Breakfast buffets are abundant with both Western and Asian options, and resort restaurants (Palm Kitchen and Soi 14) are well-liked .
⸻
⚠️ Areas to note • Noise issues: rooms may have thin walls, letting in sounds from neighbors and outside . • Limited facilities in spots: A few mention sparse restaurant choices, occasional lapses in restaurant service, minor maintenance needs (drains, humidity/mustiness), and mosquitoes . • Inconsistency in cleanliness/service: Rare reports mention moldy showers, a musty room smell, or slow check-in and breakfast service .
Perfect for couples, families, or solo travelers seeking a stylish beach getaway with excellent service and a relaxing pool–ocean vibe. The free airport shuttle, multiple dining venues, and proximity to Phu Quoc’s attractions (night market, beaches) add convenience.
⸻
⚠️ Who It Might Not Suit • If you’re a light sleeper, consider room placement carefully due to nearby airport/road noise. • Guests with strong mattress preferences might want to test the bed or request a specific firmness. • Expect some minor service or maintenance hiccups—most are isolated, but worth noting.
Take Note: This hotel lack of shelter, no shelter from main building or room to the Palm Cafe(breakast). Rain water will get in the room corridor and cause slippery. Occasionally, the Versailles Beach Club next to the hotel may host party events that play loud music and make a lot of noise until 11:00PM. Avoid the rooms located at the right wing if you are very concern with noise.
It’s a solid resort offering a great mix of comfort, service, and leisure, with only a few caveats that don’t overshadow the overall appeal.
If you’re after a relaxing holiday by the sea with style and care without stretching to top-tier luxury, Dusit Princess Moonrise is an excellent choice.
Book early to avoid disappointment, as this hotel is popular and has high occupancy rate most...
Read moreFirst our room wasn’t ready, then they tried to give me a room which backed directly on to the road - when I’d paid extra for the top floor ones for quiet - nope ! The it took another hour for another room to be ready now 430 so really not the best start.
Rooms are ok, nice balcony furniture and very comfy bed but lack of storage and working out the lights takes some doing.
Breakfast buffet is pretty good but sausage and bacon always cold - heat la o doesn’t do its job. Egg and bahn mi stations both aweosme as is the granola - really crispy and tasty add raisins and pumpkin seeds, great with strawberry yoghurt. Salt and pepper never filled or missing which for me is a real attention to detail telling thing for staff - if not noticing and taking care of the small stuff then the big won’t work
Pool is simply great but no station for attend at and for some crazy reason towels given out by reception and left in your room if your room happens to get serviced - why not maybe follow what every other hotel everywhere does and have your attendant manage them.
Pool bar great but their boppy Asian poo is simply awful in the evenings - if you’re swimming it then clashes with the classical piano music being played at the Thai on the other side - asked them to turn it down or change it but no it was ‘the rule’ - it’s for customers and I’m the only one swimming - this really mooted me a couple of. Nights when there was no band and I was swimming late. I come to swim and not for it to be spoilt by crap music that’s far too loud - fine at dibdown but not at 8.
Beach great but lounger far too close together - maybe consider loungers on the grass.
Pool bar - no bar area to sit and lobby bar has none brew of focus so if you want it to be a bar then add a Plano and make the seating less of a through corridor - not inviting currently .
Thai restaurant was great and lunches at other one was fine, nothing special .
Easy grab distance to some great places but do read reviews before choosing - looks of crappy but expansive seafood off property .
We enjoyed our stay overall but I wouldn’t heartily recommend it until it figures out willer it wants to be - if luxury then misses in many areas and if mid grade then it’s ok.
Plastic loungers with metal frames and natural pads - halfway there if you know what I mean, it was our third choice of place to stay and honestly felt...
Read moreI had a truly memorable stay at this resort thanks to the staff’s attentive and thoughtful service. Special thanks to Manager MY for her exceptional care throughout our visit.
When we first checked in, we encountered an issue with our room. After reporting it to a staff member, they promptly confirmed the problem and moved us to a different room. Unfortunately, the second room had a similar issue. We didn’t want to be a bother, so we just decided to stay quiet.
To our surprise, we received a phone call shortly after — it was Manager MY personally reaching out to ask if the new room was okay. I explained that while the issue was less noticeable, it was still present. She came up right away to check the situation herself.
After checking, she apologized sincerely and offered to move us again. Before doing so, she went ahead to inspect the new room personally to ensure everything was in order, and then helped us move again.
She continued to express her apologies for the inconvenience and kindly upgraded our room as a goodwill gesture. The upgraded room turned out to be the best I’ve ever stayed in during all my visits to Vietnam — clean, comfortable, and in perfect condition.
Throughout our stay, MY constantly showed kindness, attention, and genuine concern for our experience. Later, we even received a follow-up call from another staff member to make sure we were comfortable and everything was okay in the new room.
It really left a strong impression on me — this resort doesn’t treat guest concerns lightly and goes out of their way to make things right. Their level of care truly goes above and beyond.
I’ve been to Vietnam many times, but this was my first time experiencing such outstanding and heartfelt hospitality.
Thank you once again for making our...
