We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. The rooms are decent size and its a basic hotel in a small patagonian town. Hey finding a clean room with nice bed and hot water in middle of nowhere was good enough. We didnt expect much more from them. The breakfast had an amazing raspberry jam. ||Highlights: Coney- yes she is so sweet that I would go just for her. She was very helpful and on the last night, she prepared some toast and coffee for us and left it covered in plastic wrap so that we had some food before we left for our bus back to El Calafate. Her english was excellent and she guided us well. Andrea was also a great host. ||Thumbs-down for the cleaning staff. When we got the room, we found two used and dried small soap bars on the floor in the bathroom. then we found a big dead fly in the bed room and I wasnt going to make anything of that also, but the next day there were two more flies and the first one wasnt picked up. The plates and the garbage that we left in one of the corners on the first day when we went to hike, were not picked up by the cleaning crew. This didnt sit well with us and hence...
Read moreFantastic stay in the beautiful mountain town of El Chalten. Stunning views when you step outside your door, charming and really cute decor, thoughtful and inviting staff, amazing breakfast spread, and warm cozy rooms. The girls at the reception - Sofia and her colleague (sorry I didn’t ask your name ☹️) were extremely sweet, helpful and suggested us beautiful hikes and restaurants for our 4 day/3 night stay in El Chalten. She even let us use the drier to dry our wet clothes. So kind of her :) It was conveniently located close to coffee shops, restaurants and gift stores. The hotel has kettles and fridges in public spaces for everyone to use. They even let us use their kitchen to heat our pre-packaged food. It’s a wonderful hotel and I’d definitely come back here...
Read moreOn the positive side, the reception staff are great and helpful, everywhere is clean and you get free tea and cakes at 5.30. Breakfast was also fine. Like a lot of places in El Chaltén it is very expensive for what you get. We are now staying in a far better place in El Cafayate for half the price. Our room was basically furnished, in need of redecoration and felt cheap. It was almost impossible to correctly adjust the water temperature in the shower and washbasin. No toiletries other than soap. |Location was good, being in a quiet spot yet close to restaurants and the start of walks.|Overall, we had a...
