I was really looking forward for a visit but it was dissapointing due to poor communication. At the beginning, when placing an order, I said to a lady that we need to catch the bus. She looked at another lady who confirmed that the food and drinks “will be ready in approx 10 minutes”. They came actually after 30+ minutes and nobody seem to care or understand or say sorry. We had to take it with us and run for a bus. I feel like you should honestly say to a customer if you can’t make it, in that case we would just take coffee to go and no food. There would be no misunderstanding. Also, despite that the coffe was not bad, it was burnt (a latte should never have a temperature as high that it would be hot when you touch the cup - that means you have burnt the coffee) and I wouldn’t call it exceptional. Hope you’ll be doing good and we just had a bad luck. Also I am aware that I wasnt as smiley as I would normally be, but this was due to a frustrating context of the communication of waiting times.
RESPONSE TO AN OWNER’S REACTION* The times you provided are not true. We arrived at 10:41 (on the receipt) but we left 11:13 (little more than 30 minutes). Yes, there was a language misunderstanding, I understood the food would be ready in 10 minutes, not that you have 10 minutes for previous order. That’s truly not your fault. However, to me it still makes more sense to inform the customer about her order, not about how much time will take the order before hers since I have no means to estimate the time left. You are not responsible for us missing the bus, but you are responsible for way you inform a client and I felt it wasn’t done well. As for the coffee, thank you for the explanation, I didn’t know about the heated cup and that’s nice detail. However, it still tasted a bit burnt to me (I’m comparing to european selection coffee places) so I leave this for you to take or leave as a feedback. Wish you...
Read moreCute coffee shop, but it took forever to get my coffee. I ordered one of their local roasts made with an aeropress, and it took around 20 (maybe longer) minutes to get it. It's an aeropress, not a chemex - it should only take a couple of minutes to make. I have the device, and it's literally an espresso shot and add water after. At that point I should have just ordered a pour over if I were going to wait that long.
Update: To the owner's reply. I am doing well. Frankly, I've been to many non-McDonald's coffee shops to know that an aeropress does not take that long. Sure 5 minutes to grind and boil water, but using the actual device takes 2 minutes. Had I known it would take long, I would not have bothered to come. If you cannot take critiques, which I have a right to voice, then that is your...
Read moreFlat white = large Latte, Cappuccino = flat white 😂
Be careful, their cappuccino is 2shots of espresso and 110ml milk - so basically a flat white whereas their flat white has 300ml of milk so basically a large latte... Also their almond milk is not really foamed (they said it's because it's almond milk but somehow in BA I could get a super foamy flat white. They also argued that each country has a different description of flat white.... Well could maybe agree (Italian cafe Latte is much weaker than UK after all..) but in BA every coffee place would serve flat white in a...
