Rio Azul Hostel — Hotel in El Chaltén

I stay four night here and can't sleep well very night. There is completely no management at night. The reception also displayed noise music after 10pm. And the other people just talking till mid night. Also, it is overrun, too much people and have 2 bathroom (toilet included )only. You are lucky if you can get inside during morning time. Bring you own toilet paper is necessary. And this is my first time you need to pay extra for luggage storage and someone ask you to leave immediately if you don't pay extra 50%. (You can even stay at common area) I saw another white couple just stay one night and didn't pay extra. Is there race discrimination to me...

A las 10 de la noche cierran la cocina y a las 11 la puerta del hostel, no tienen atencion nocturna, es decir si antes de las 11 no estas en el hostel, te quedas afuera. ESTO ES LITERAL, pregunte si me queria quedar mas tarde afuera, tenia que coordinar con algun empleado y si de casualidad estaba afuera, volver con el, INSOLITO.

Dueño, hijos y empleados usan el hostel a todo momento y te hacen sentir como que estas molestandolos constantemente simplemente por hacer uso de los espacios comunes.

Una noche termine a las 10 de la noche encerrado en la pieza porque eran mas de 10 personas que usaron absolutamente todo el hostel para ellos, me sente a comer en la unica mesa que hay y practicamente me echaron para comer ellos y se quedaron hasta las 12 de la noche a los gritos, cuando la noche anterior a las 11 me apagaron la luz, es decir que las reglas se cumplen para los hospedados, pero el dueño y amigos pueden hacer lo que quieran.

Preferi perder 3 noches pagas antes de seguir en ese lugar, cuando le comunique todo esto al empleado del lugar su unica respuesta fue "yo estoy atado de manos" es decir que no les interesa en absoluto mejorar como hostel

A parte de todo esto es mas caro que otros hostel que son mucho mejores.

Very cute little hostel in El Chalten. Owners are so friendly and helpful. Place is nicely located on a quiet street bus still close to shops, restaurants and bus station. Kitchen is very well equipped and the place is very clean. Most importantly the place is quiet at night, the room is brilliant temperature and the beds are very comfortable. Highly recommend. Very fair price...
