Kantar — Hotel in Yerevan

Positives- The best thing about this hostel are the receptionist anna and marina, they greet you everyday and are always smiling, thank you for that to both of you girls. Very close to all the touristic sites in yerevan, has all the basic amenities including breakfast which i had twice out of my 10 day stay, definitely expensive combo of hostel and hotel but still a nice place. Kitchen for cooking anything, refrigerator for storing your food. I will definitely come back.

Negatives- Toilet has almost see through glasses which was very wierd please change if you can, drainage smell in the shower, and always crowded and noisy sometimes also because of the constant check ins and checkouts, because as i said it's a combination of hotel with a hostel, problem with lockers as their password always had an issue, not a good place to meet travellers as it's usually was full of old guys 50's 60's during my stay, so if you want a solo traveller friendly vibes better check out other hostels as it's expensive compared to all the hostels, building is very old on 7th floor with lifts but as people complaining that it might fall if earthquake comes in yerevan was a bit over exaggeration. Toilets were dirty not because of the cleaning staff but guests who never bothered to flush sometimes which is disgusting, older guys are usually loud snorers due to which my sleep was destroyed and this hostel according to me is usually booked by older crowd than the younger ones. Poor Customer Service and Rude.||The location is not even good ans amenities are not good.||We booked from Agoda with confirmation of booking and payment receipt but the hotel said it was cancelled in their side, we show proof. We even spoke with the hotel representative night before the check in date and they didnt informed about the cancelled booking and they keep blaming Agoda and saying they dont have profile in agoda. First we didnt received email that it was cancelled. The front desk are rude. And insisting the booking are cancelled even we show booking confirmation ans proof it was paid. They are insisting to cancel the booking but non refundable and asking us to pay at the hotel. We booked infront of receptionist but still saying cancelled even we show that it was paid online and asking to pay in cash or card at the hotel. 3x that they were saying booking is cancelled when it was deducted to our account. We told them we will NOT pay again with cash or card and leave the hotel despits of telling them we have kids and they were very tired. Also they afe insisting to pay .. pay cash or card . They keep telling system issue. It already came from them that 3 of their guest having the same issue like us that in their system cancelled booking and no payment. So it means before us there are 3 ‘more guests experienced this issue. It was very bad ans poor experience and caused damaged and inconvenience for us especially...

Great stay at Kantar Hostel in Yerevan

I stayed at Kantar Hostel for one night in January 2024 and I had a wonderful time. The hostel is located in the heart of Yerevan, close to many attractions, restaurants, and public transport. I booked a bed in a 8-bed dormitory room, which was very clean and cozy, with air conditioning, spacious lockers, and a private bathroom. The hostel also has a nice common area, where I met some amazing fellow travelers from different countries. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they gave me a lot of tips and recommendations for exploring the city and the country. The hostel offers free breakfast, which is simple but tasty, and free wifi, which is fast and reliable. The only downside is that the hostel can be a bit noisy at night, as it is near a busy street.
