West End markets. Great little market. Not running at full speed due to virus. During virus they halved the size of market. They usually have both sides of walking area selling goods. But now only one side and vendors spaced out to minimize customer impact. I actually don't mind this configuration as you get to notice the beauty of the park. There were more stores today but still not operating at full capacity. I was there today around 11.30am. I usually go earlier but it's good to go late as operators tend to sell fruit and veggies cheaper in order to get rid of their stock. Read moreThis is a nice enough park that adjoins the Brisbane River with lovely big trees dominating the landscape. It really gets pumping on Saturday when one of Brisbane's major markets are in full swing. They close at around 1pm so get there early if you want to try some delicious offerings. I tried a small dish from Venezuela with pulled chicken and avocado and it was amazing. There's plenty of other healthy options there including kombucha and sauerkraut juice bottles to take away as well. I like the atmosphere and the people watching opportunities there. Read moreThis park is nice however, the dogs are aggressive and tried to attack my grandchild they should install a dog park. Also, the walkways become narrow and overcrowded when the markets are on. Theres not even shade and seating, I got heavily sunburned and was extremely tired, it's mindblowing how stark the infastructure is in davies park.
