Very very enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere here ! The Hahndorf Inn is a historical pub on the Main Street and was established in 1863 - so the inside reflects this fact . Lots of exposed wooden beams , tables and chairs and the in the Winter have a working fireplace down the back . It was very inviting - the whole atmosphere encourages you to relax , unwind and settle in for the long haul . The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to find substitutes for my friend who has a pepper allergy , and to recommend things for my gluten intolerance. We started with some gluten free bread and dips - the beetroot one was the stand out with a lemony finish. For meals my friend had the lamb shank with sweet potato chips , and I had the pork ribs with mashed potato and bourbon bbq sauce - the meat fell off the bone and the sauce should be bottled and sold , it was that good . I also had a lovely cherry schnapps which was a good finish to the evening . You could tell that the staff liked to work here as they were joking with each other and constantly smiling at the customers - and the care that was taken with food was very much appreciated. I really recommend the Hahndorf Inn - it’s a wonderful place to eat and enjoy your meals.

Hello, fox :) 1. It is recommended to book ahead due to high demand. 2. The reserved seating area is nicer and quieter compared to the non-reserved seating area. 3. The tasting paddle of German beers and the sausage platter are delicious and good for sharing. 4. The cheese kransky and sauerkraut are highlights, despite the sauerkraut being slightly dry. 5. Despite a 10% public holiday surcharge, the prices are still reasonable. 6. The restaurant is located in a beautiful historic inn, providing a pleasant atmosphere. 7. The portion sizes are generous, with the food being perfect in taste. 8. The pork knuckles and the platter options are highly recommended, offering a variety of meats. 9. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent. 10. The gluhwein (mulled wine) is a must-try during winter, and the German beers are excellent. 11. The food comes in large portion sizes, with family options providing a variety of choices. Overall, this restaurant is highly recommended for its tasty food, wide selection of beers, generous portions, and excellent service. Alex

Went on an impromptu visit to this quaint little town on the outskirts of Adelaide and as always the spring like weather was brilliant, crisp breeze but the sun was shining and as we approached we were greeted by friendly staff and patrons at the Hahndorf Inn. The menu is mouthwatering and it did take us some time to choose as everything sounded so good, but we ended up ordering the light and tasty Flammkuchen (Flammekueche as I remember from Bavaria) and the Schweins Rippchen and a couple of German beers..... Be rude not to! One was a nice 500ml of Hofbrau Maibock which was crisp and refreshing. The food was sensational, ribs fell off the bone and were accompanied by some nice crispy fries. There are some great places to eat in Hahndorf and the Hahndorf Inn is always worth a visit, check them out on your next visit, you won't be disappointed.

The Hahndorf Inn is home to many fond memories for me. Back when I was at University I’d visit with friends and share one of their metre long hot dogs and stare at the share plates that tourists would get. Now that we were here as tourists (and with far more money than I had in uni), I thought it was time to finally try one of the share plates for ourselves! This one had four different sausages, a pork hock, and some cured pork, along with some sides like mash potato, sauerkraut, and a pretzel each. Everything tasted incredible! Much like the tourists I watched eat this while I shared another ridiculously large meal in my youth, we couldn’t finish this, even between the two of us. My eyes are so much bigger than my stomach, oh my god hahaha. Very happy to have finally tried it though.

Lovely food and excellent services. This restaurant is a must try if you were to visit Hahndorf village in Adelaide. They serve German cuisines. Their Pork Knuckle were really good. Crispy skin and tender meat. All the dishes were still smoking hot when they were served. The other dishes I order were good as well, I just can’t remember the dishes names. The lady taking our orders at the counter was really polite and thoughtful. As we have a toddler with us, we told the lady that we have brought some porridge to feed the toddler and if it’s ok for us to do so. She said no problem at all, and even said that she can ask the kitchen to heat up the porridge if we find that our porridge has turned cold. Great food, excellent services. Prices are reasonable too. Ambience is cosy.
