Riverglen Chalets - A Cozy, Family-Friendly Stay
We recently stayed at Riverglen Chalets as a group of 9, including children, and overall had a very comfortable and enjoyable experience. The chalets were cozy, well-heated, and provided a warm and welcoming environment throughout our stay. Check-in and check-out were hassle-free, and the communication with the property management was excellent. They were very accommodating, especially when we had specific requests regarding bed arrangements.
The outdoor facilities were a highlight — we loved the spacious outdoor seating areas, the gas heating, the pizza oven, and the ample parking spaces which made things very convenient for our group.
A couple of areas could use some attention:
The WiFi was advertised as free, but unfortunately, we couldn’t find or connect to it during our stay. This also meant we were unable to use the smart TV to stream Netflix or similar services.
The hot tub was a bit of a letdown as the water was not hot and it hadn’t been properly cleaned.
The pizza oven also seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned before our arrival.
These are just friendly suggestions for property management to consider improving, rather than major complaints. They didn’t significantly affect our overall experience.
We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider coming back. It’s a great spot for groups and families looking for a cozy, well-located...
Read moreConvenient location 1 km easy stroll to Margaret River town, yet secluded and surrounded by nature and forest. There is a small stream & pond on the property where ducks visit, wild parrots also come by frequently. There are orange, grapefruit, avocado and other fruiting trees on the property that you can help yourself to. There is also a games room with simple distractions for kids.
The chalets are cosy but very comfortable. Comes with equipped kitchen, washer, dryer, bathroom (shower, no bathtub). It gets cold at night out among the trees but each bed has its own electric blanket to keep toasty warm. The only con is that there is no WiFi except at the main reception building and mobile reception is not great. The living room has a smart TV that is compatible with a flash drive, among other things, so you can bring your own entertainment.
The atmosphere of being out in nature among the trees, rivers and stars and yet so close to town is unbeatable. Highly recommended and we will be...
Read moreBeautiful peaceful surroundings. A pleasant walk into town, but why would you do that when you can simply sit on the veranda & take in the beautiful surroundings. The bird life is a treat! Rabbits & lizards too. It’s only a short ride to the local bike trails so our son was thrilled & able to get there every morning. The staff were fantastic. We were able to text them whenever we had a question & the house was beautifully maintained & very clean. Beds are huge! It’s a good idea to bring some olive oil, tinfoil & greaseproof paper if you are going to be cooking. A small supply of milk, tea, coffee & sugar is provided which kept us going for the time we were there. Also supplied is soap, cleaning cloths, rubbish bags, shower gel, shampoo & conditioner. And there are plenty of towels. We are a fabulous time. We have already booked our...
